Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in
Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!
Find out what folks think below, and what comics you should be looking out for this week.
Absolute Wonder Woman #1 (DC Comics) – The second “Absolute” series comes to shelves with a different take on the classic character.
The Boxer Vol. 8 (VIZ Media) – The series has been amazing as it’s not about the boxers but their backgrounds and styles. This volume is the most comedic of them all, standing out for such a shift in tone.
The Feeding (Image Comics) – Nolan Ward has done everything to forget his disturbing past. Drinking. Drugs. Day-trading. Sex. And still, that past has caught up with him in the form of a twisted painting called The Feeding… The crowdfunded comic comes to shops!
The Goon: Them That Don’t Stay Dead #3 (Dark Horse) – The Goon is always fun with a horror meets Popeye vibe.
The Horizon Experiment: Sacred Damned #1 (Image Comics) – Sabir Pirzada and Michael Walsh are next up in this anthology series. With a story that re-examines modern horror.
Iron Man #1 (DC Comics) – Iron Man is back with a new series that has him taking on Roxxon and AIM.
The Moon is Following Us #2 (Image Comics) – The first issue introduced us to a strange fantasy world with parents fighting to get their daughter back!
Nullhunter #1 (Image Comics) – A cyberpunk retelling of the Labors of Hercules.
The Power Fantasy #3 (Image Comics) – The series is receiving praise and kudos and is one comic fans shouldn’t be missed!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #3 (IDW Publishing) – Each issue of this new series has been catching us up with individual Turtles. This one is Leonardo who is traveling the world in search of peace.
