Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!
Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in
Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!
Find out what folks think below, and what comics you should be looking out for this week.
Batman and Robin: Year One #1 (DC Comics) – Mark Waid and Chris Samnee team up for this. Nuff said.
Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter #4 (DC Comics/Elseworlds) – The series has been amazing and its use of color fantastic. A can’t miss.
Destro #5 (Skybound) – The series wraps up and we’re excited what it teases for the upcoming G.I. JOE launch!
Exorcism at 1600 Penn #1 (IDW Publishing) – Kelly Doyle has just been elected the first woman president of the United States of America, and boiling political tension could spill over at any second. She could never predict that the nation’s hallowed halls would soon become a demonic battleground for good versus evil.
Godfather of Hell #1 (Vault Comics) – Dario Santini has lived a charmed life as an enforcer and debt collector for mob boss Niccol Mechini. He’s had it all: respect, power, even the love of a good woman. But everything changes when he crosses a line and is shot dead on the sidewalk.
Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #1 (Marvel) – Marc Spector is back and may be about to break already!
Mystique #1 (Marvel) – From the Ashes, Mystique gets the spotlight in this limited series.
The Pedestrian #3 (Magma Comix) – One of the strangest superhero comics of the year has us all in. We want to find out what’s up with its speed walking hero.
Sidekicks Vol. 1 (Graphix) – From Dan Santat, Captain Amazing is looking for a sidekick and his pets want the role!
Squire & Knight Vol. 2 Wayward Travelers (First Second) – Our heroes are lost. Squire and Sir Kelton have promised to get Cade to the school of wizardry. Strangely though, the path they’ve taken has brought them into a bewildering, misty forest.
Ultimate Spider-Man #10 (Marvel) – An issue focused on Ben Parker and J. Jonah Parker!
Vicarious #1 (BOOM! Studios) – Justin finds just what he’s looking for in the secret world of Proxies-young, pretty, ambitious hustlers like himself who allow the rich access to their feelings and experiences through a technological implant.
Where Monsters Lie: Cull-De-Sace #1 (Dark Horse Comics) – Come join us, friends, for it’s time to visit another gated community for slashers and meet a new cast of horrible monsters. Check out our early review!
