Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Absolute Batman #1 (DC Comics) – DC’s first “Absolute” series kicks off with Batman. How will this differ from the rest of DC’s Batman releases? We’re excited to check out the whole new world.

Blade Red Band #1 (Marvel) – An adult Blade comic? Yeah, we’re down for that.

Kaiju No. 8 Vol. 11 (VIZ Media) – The series has been an interesting take on the classic kaiju concept with some amazing visuals and action sequences.

LEGO Ninjago: Shatterspin #2 (Skybound) – The series has been a lot of fun so far, expanding the world of LEGO Ninjago. A must for fans of the brand or those that just enjoy a fun read.

Minor Arcana #2 (BOOM! Studios) – Jeff Lemire’s new series kicked things off with a rather depressing return of a woman to her hometown.

Scarlett #5 (Skybound) – Where this series is going… we have no idea. As part of the Energon Universe, it’s an intriguing piece of the puzzle.

Sentinels #1 (Marvel) – The new direction for Marvel’s Mutant corner of its universe has been interesting and we’re intrigued how these classic villains fit into it all.

Space Ghost #6 (Dynamite Entertainment) – Every issue has been awesome blending the classic cartoon with an updated take. This is some of the best cosmic storytelling in comics right now.

The Terminator #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – Terminator is celebrating 40 years and we’re excited for its return to comics!

The Toxic Avenger #1 (AHOY Comics) – The classic Toxic Avenger is back!

Transformers #13 (Skybound) – A new arc kicks off focusing on Starscream!
