The Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation has announced that the Members of the Binc Foundation’s Board are offering a second matching donation for the year-end Read Love Support campaign. With the need for emergency financial assistance for medical care, housing, and utilities continuing to increase, their goal is to help Binc reach $100,000 or more in donations before December 31, 2022.

The Book Industry Charitable Foundation’s Board will be generously matching all gifts dollar for dollar, doubling the power and impact of donations received up to a total of $5,000.

All year long, Binc assists booksellers and comic retailers recovering from personal financial hardships like a cancer diagnosis, heating and electricity being shut off, and the devastation the recent hurricanes brought to so many. 

Binc also works to give access to mental health therapy through its new Mental Health Wellness Program, connects people with local resources, and supports career advancement and professional development for booksellers and comic retailers across the country, with even more program expansions happening next year.
