The Batman Repeats in First Place at the Weekend Box Office

The Batman dominated again taking in an estimated $66 million at the weekend box office. The film has grossed $238.5 million after two weeks. It also added $104.7 million internationally to bring that to $224.7 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $463.2 million after just two weeks.

In second place was Uncharted which earned an estimated $9.3 million to bring its domestic total to $113.4 million. It also earned about $16.6 million over the week internationally to bring that total to $187.9 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $301.3 million.

BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul: Live Viewing debuted in third place with an estimated $6.8 million. The film also earned $25.8 million internationally for a total of $32.6 million.

Dog dropped one spot to fourth place with $5.3 million. The film has grossed $47.8 million domestically. It also added about $1.4 million over the week to bring its international total to $6.4 million. Worldwide the film has grossed $54.2 million.

Rounding out the top five was Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film earned $4.1 million to bring its domestic total to $792.3 million. The movie also added about $4.4 million to its international total to bring that to $1.084 billion. Worldwide, the film has grossed $1.877 billion.

In comic films…

The King’s Man didn’t chart this past week and its domestic gross remains steady at $37.2 million. The film also added a small amount internationally, less than $100,000, to bring that total to a little over $88.7 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $125.9 million.

Initial numbers have 52 films earning $101,935,219 from 29,273 theaters. That’s a drop from last weekend’s 51 films which earned $166,051,067 from 30,108 theaters theaters. The average earning was $3,482.23 this past weekend, a decrease from the previous weekend’s $5,515.18.
