AfroComicCon Live in Person Film Festival Finalists Screening: Cosplay and The Movies!

 Afro ComicCon's Sci-fi, Horror, and Animation Film Festival

Join AfroComicCon for an outdoor film screening featuring selections from Afro ComicCon’s Sci-fi, Horror, and Animation Film Festival! These are films created by black and POC filmmakers from all over the world. We’ll be showcasing winners and finalists from 2020’s Film festival in addition to the top finalist from this year’s festival. We’ll also be having a special screening of Pixar Animation Studios recent Spark Short, Twenty Something. An animated short film Written and Directed by black Storyboard Artists and Bay Area native Aphton Corbin.

In addition to supporting great films….COSPLAY IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED! That’s right, come dressed as your favorite character from the Comics, TV, and Film and enter for your chance to win BEST COSPLAY COSTUME.

It’s an evening you won’t want to miss out on and is sure to be filled with great films, food, drink, music, and of course great people!

This is a free event, however donations will be accepted and proceeds will help to support AfroComicCon, The Bay Area’s Premiere Black Comic Book and Sci-Fi Convention which will be held virtually on October 23rd and 24th this year.


COVID-19 Protocols

Temperature checks will be taken at the door and you’ll be required to complete a health declaration form prior entry. We ask that you wear a face-covering except when eating or drinking. All food and drink orders will be contactless so bring your phone so you can scan a QR code at one of the tables to order!
