Bryan Edward Hill and Priscilla Petraites’ Chariot Gets a Director in Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski

Chariot #1

Another comic is in the works to come to the big screen as Chariot from Artists, Writers and Artisans (AWA) has found a director in Joseph Kosinski. Kosinski is the director behind the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick. The film will be scripted by Julian Meiojas.

Chariot is by writer Bryan Edward Hill with art by Priscilla Petraites and colors by Marco Lesko. You can read our review of the first issue.

Chariot is a riff on 80s action films that features a state-of-the-art sports car created by the government during the Cold War. After sinking into an ocean, decades later a petty criminal stumbles on the car to find out it’s now controlled by a secret agent’s consciousness.

21 Laps’ Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen are producing with Kosinski. AWA’s Zach Studin is the exec producer. This is the first project for the recently formed AWA Studios. That’s the film and TV arm of the graphic fiction publisher. This is AWA’s first project but it’s clear the comic publisher has its eye on doing more.
