Loot Crate has been struggling having announced that it was looking for a buyer and was declaring chapter 11. The company has announced they have a new name and a new owner.

Loot Crate has been acquired by Money Chest LLC who is majority funded by NECA, the company that owns Kidrobot, WizKids, and more. They are also now “The Loot Company.”

NECA has been creating one-of-a-kind limited edition collectibles for years as well as mass produced toys and collectibles, so they are a solid fit as an owner.

Already, the partnership is bringing benefits as Loot Crate sent an email for a discount on the limited-edition NECA Tech-Shield Batman to subscribers.
