Marvel has been counting down and teasing a new Spider-Man project these past few days and we now know what that is. J.J. Abrams along with his son Henry are writing a new Spider-Man series. The series will debut in September and feature art from Sara Pichelli.

The miniseries will feature a new villain named Cadaverous who will cause problems for Spider-Man, his alter ego Peter Parker and also Mary Jane Watson.

The project was pitched by Marvel Editor Nick Lowe 10 years ago. The project really began to begin rolling about a year ago when J.J. began talking about it with Henry.
