Harry Shearer, Off the Simpsons?

Harry_Shearer_at_RT4The Simpsons might have been renewed for two more season by Fox, but it looks like those’ll be happening without one of its more prolific voice actors. Harry Shearer announced via Twitter that he received a letter that the “show will go on, Harry will not be a part of it” from the lawyer of Simpsons producer James L. Brooks.

There had been rumors of a loan hold-out for salary negotiations, and it looks like Shearer is it. The cast has had numerous close calls though when it came to salary negotiations, but those were resolved, the last being in 2011. It has been reported that negotiations are continuing even with the Tweets.

Shearer is the voice of numerous characters such as Ned Flanders, Montgomery Burns, Waylon Smithers, Seymour Skinner, Dr. Hibbert, Lenny Leonard, Kent Brockman, Scratchy, and Kang.
