TV Review: Agent Carter S1E4 The Blitzkrieg Button
On this episode of Marvel‘s Agent Carter, Peggy may be in more trouble than usual when fugitive Howard Stark suddenly returns for mysterious reasons. And Chief Dooley chases a new clue all the way to Europe that threatens to destroy Peggy’s future at the SSR.
Stark is back, and he needs the further help of Peggy, as he hides out in Peggy’s apartment. It’s all an interesting way to figure out the next item that needs to get back, plus it sets up some great humor with Stark being tempted in a building filled with women.
Stark eventually reveals what’s in the vile that Peggy needed to grab, leading to an interesting back and forth between the two of them, and showing off a bit more how much of a shitheal Stark is. What’s even more interesting is him being an asshat actually drives a bit of a wedge between him and Jarvis.
What’s most interesting is Dottie, who reveals there’s a bit more to her…. a lot more about her.
And Stan Lee people!
The episode was a solid one. There’s lots of really nice moments, and it adds to the great series. Individual episodes are much weaker than the whole, and I think we’ll really need to judge this when all is said and done.
