TV Review: Comic Book Men – Episode 308 – Cryptozoic Launch

comic book menIn this episode of Comic Book Men, the guys head to the Baltimore Comic Con to launch their comic book, Cryptozoic Man. Meanwhile, Sunday Jeff works on a Saturday to fill in for Walt.

I’ve been waiting for this episode as I was at Baltimore Comic Con, and only saw one of the guys walking through the crowd, so I was mostly unaware of how the convention went for them. I don’t remember seeing them on Saturday and I wasn’t there on Sunday, so no idea what happened. It was great seeing them at the show and the fan reaction as well as how they reacted to the fans. They were goofy, and made some cracks, but they all came off as very appreciative and in awe of the fans. Baltimore is a fantastic show, and if folks are in the area, it’s easily one of the best to go to, for exactly the reasons they show, you get to interact with creators.

Also entertaining was watching Sunday Jeff, someone I think has only been mentioned in passing, but I don’t think seen so far. Watching his interaction with customers is more of the comic store clerk that I’m more used to.

Overall, there was some solid pride and accomplishment shown off at the convention during the show. While what I did see myself differs from what was shown, the appreciation of the team was evident. It was nice to see the comic get pitched, to it being launched. A solid episode that wraps up that bit of the series.
