The third episode of King of Nerds has come and gone with another nerd booted from the home. The episode had a video game theme, with the two teams competing to maneuver a hovercopter through obstacles while the other team attempted to shoot the copter down.

But, the title of the episode Games Without Frontiers had to do more than just the games the team played against each other, but also the games they’re playing internally.

Two teams, one fairly broken having lost two competitions and the other, dominating. That’s the real focus of this episode, as the players begin to maneuver against each other. That’s the moment I’ve been waiting for, when the “nerds” starting thinking about the bigger game. That hasn’t been present in the first two episodes, but here it’s present.

To me, this will be the most fascinating part of the show. People who like games, and tend to be competitive when it comes to them, how will they play the overall game? We’re finding out and it’s interesting so far.

Tensions begin to ramp up in another solid episode of King of the Nerds.
