This June, Marvel will commemorate Pride Month this year with a new series of stunning variant covers by legendary artist Phil Jimenez! These Pride Month Variant Covers will spotlight Marvel’s growing LGBTQ+ representation, and when first announced in March, fans got to see Jimenez’s incredible depictions of Iceman, Daken, America Chavez, and Northstar. This June, fans everywhere are invited to the Hellfire Gala, a first-of-its-kind crossover told across twelve issues, offering different perspectives and viewpoints of a single night that will go down in Marvel Comics history. This June, the Hellfire Trading Company invites readers everywhere to the inaugural Hellfire Gala where the first Krakoan team of X-Men will be introduced to the Marvel Universe and mutantkind’s planet-sized plans for the future will be unveiled. Peter David Returns to X-Factor in X-Men Legends #5

X-Men Legends, the series featuring all-new tales set during classic X-Men eras, continues this July with writer Peter David and artist Todd Nauck! The Hellfire Gala Delivers Couture and a New X-Men Team

After a brief hiatus in the month of April, X-Men AND X-Factor will return in May with X-Men #20 and X-Factor #9. Nominees for the 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards Announced

GLAAD Media Awards

GLAAD has announced the nominees for the 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards. The awards honor media for “fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues”. The awards began in 1990 and this year features 198 nominees in 28 categories.

Award recipients will be announced during a virtual ceremony scheduled for April 2021.

Below are the nominees in the comic category. You can get the full list of nominees at the GLAAD website.

The Old Guard, based on the comic series by Greg Rucka, Leandro Fernández, Daniela Miwa, and Jodi Wynne was nominated for “Outstanding Film – Wide Release“.

Harley Quinn, the HBO MAX/DC Universe animated series based on the DC Comics character created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini was nominated in “Outstanding Comedy Series“.

Supergirl, based on the DC Comics character, Wynonna Earp based on the character created by Beau Smith, and The Umbrella Academy based on the comic by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá were nominated for “Outstanding Drama Series”.
