Heavy Metal’s VIRUS imprint announce Never Never, a new comic from creator Mark McCann, Phil Buckenham, Agnese Pozza, David Withers, and Peter Duncan

Heavy Metal’s VIRUS imprint has announced Mark McCann’s Never Never #1 which is available on August 12, 2020. Never Never is an amalgamation of Peter Pan, The Hunger Games, and Lord of the Flies. In other words, a survival horror fantasy inspired by classics but intended for a new age. Written by McCann, the comic features the talents of artist Phil Buckenham, colorist Agnese Pozza, letterer David Withers, and editor Peter Duncan.

Winter is seduced by the boy-sprite, Petros – off to the Never, Never. A place where children never grow up and adults are the enemy.

What would such a place look like? Where resources are scarce. Time passes, but age is obsolete. War with adults, starved and insane from constant battle, is the norm. What would age-less boys free of civility and role-models be willing to do to survive. To live Forever.

A young girl will face her greatest test; an island full of immortal cannibals with a dark secret that sustains its existence, in the most unnatural and awful of ways.

As the goggle-eyed philosophical Frenchman once wrote, “Hell is other people.” Meet Dotty. In life, she was a call girl. In death, she’s been damned to work in Hell’s Inhuman Resources department, New Male Arrivals Division, assigning wayward souls their crummy afterlives. For eternity. All the same, Dotty spends more time away from her desk on odd jobs and adventures, be they fetching Cerberus from Hell’s dog pound to licking psychotropic toads’ heads and tripping ballz. Forever is a long time, so one might as well make the best of a hellish situation. From the pages of Heavy Metal and Soft Wood, with five never-before-seen stories, Dotty’s Inferno is a roasty romp by Mad Magazine contributor and Minimum Wage creator Bob Fingerman.

Dotty’s Inferno Bonus Material: Pinups by Comics Legends!
Also included in Dotty’s Inferno is a bonus gallery featuring “pin-ups” by John Cebollero, Howard Chaykin, Dave Johnson, Mike Mignola, Dan Panosian, and Bill Sienkiewicz!

Heavy Metal Announces Mundo Diablo Based on Netflix’s Diablero

Heavy Metal’s Virus has announced the release of Mundo Diablo #1, which is available now for purchase. The title is a spin-off of the hit series for Netflix called Diablero, which is based on the international prose bestseller El Diablo Me Obligó. This is the first official US release for the title. The series is written by F.G. Haghenbeck and Homero Rios with numerous artists.

Mundo Diablo imagines a world where the Spanish Conquerors who arrived on our continent didn’t just bring their swords and gunpowder, they also brought their demons and armed angels. The Naguals, powerful sorcerers of the New World, fought against the forces of Saint Michael and the invaders. Those Naguals who hunt angels were called Angeleros and those who hunt demons, Diableros. These are the stories of Elvis Infante, the most famous Diablero of all.
