Dark Horse Reveals Limited Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts

In late 2016, Dark Horse announced the next installment in their legendary partnership with Nintendo would be The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts. Today, Dark Horse is excited to reveal a limited edition of The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts!

Fans who purchase The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts limited edition will experience the thrill of finding and unsheathing the Master Sword! The cover features a 3D embossed sword hilt sculpt with a metallic foil finish. The sword hilt is life size to give the reader the satisfaction of unsheathing the very realistic sword from the acetate sleeve that encases the book. The cover’s background features the Lost Woods (a maze of mystifying forests that has appeared throughout the franchise) in a custom-mixed deep purple ink with a soft-touch lamination and spot-gloss UV, framed with metallic foil. The book’s pages are gilded as well.

Both the regular and limited editions of The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts have over 400 pages of fully realized artistic masterpieces, exclusive interviews with the artists behind the beloved video game franchise, the official pixel art of the early series, and rare promotional art never before published in this format.

The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts limited edition is available for preorder from Amazon, Penguin Random House, Things From Another World, and more. The limited edition retails for $79.99 and goes on sale February 21, 2017.

VIZ Releases The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition Omnibus on November 1

The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition adapts the 10-volume manga series based on the classic Nintendo role playing, puzzle-solving, action video game into a line of deluxe omnibus 2-in-1 releases. Each release features stunning new covers and color illustrations by creator Akira Himekawa. The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition Vol. 1, Ocarina of Time is rated ‘A’ for All Ages and carries a print MSRP of $17.99 U.S. / $21.99 CAN. Future omnibus volumes will be released in print three times a year.

The battle for Hyrule and the Sacred Realm has begun! A young boy named Link must defeat evil on his long, perilous quest to find the spiritual stones that hold the key to the Triforce, and deliver them to Zelda, princess of the land of Hyrule. The Legend of Zelda manga series was created by Akira Himekawa, which is the pen name of two women known simply as A. Honda and S. Nagano. The pair created The Legend of Zelda manga series which was inspired by several games and story arcs in the Zelda video game series.

Viz Media Announces The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is based on the beloved, internationally bestselling video game originally released for Nintendo’s Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The comic book version by Shotaro Ishinomori was first serialized in Nintendo Power magazine and later collected into a graphic novel. Long out-of-print, this stunning, full-color edition is available once again for the first time in more than two decades!

Shotaro Ishinomori was one of Japan’s most prolific and revered comic book creators. Among his most popular works are Cyborg 009, Kamen Rider and HOTEL. In 2008, Guinness World Records named Ishinomori the world record holder for the “most comics published by one author” for creating more than 770 stories collected in a total of 500 volumes of manga. The Ishinomaki Mangattan Museum in Japan is dedicated to his works and legacy.

The Return of Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past to Viz

Majora’s Mask 3D Limited Edition Announced!

You’ve met with a terrible fate, haven’t you? I hope not!

Announced today on Nintendo’s Official Website, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D will be getting a Limited Edition that includes the game, as well as a detailed figurine statue of the infamous Skull Kid, wearing Majora’s Mask.

Majora’s Mask
was originally released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64. It stars Link, the Hero of Time, as well as the previously mentioned antagonist Skull Kid, and a whole cast of other characters. Link’s end goal is to save Termina from being crushed by the Moon within three days, by solving puzzles and battling enemies.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Limited Edition will be USD $49.99, while the Standard Edition of the game will only be USD $39.99. Both will be released for the 3DS, concurrently, but the date has not been announced as of yet.
