Boom! Studios Samuel L. Jackson teaserBOOM! Studios has announced more about the teased project with Samuel L. Jackson.  The series is also being created by Emmy nominated writer/producer Eric Calderon of Afro Samurai fame.  Interior art will be provided by Jeremy Rock.  The series is described as:

COLD SPACE follows the adventures of an on-the-run outlaw as he crash-lands on a hostile planet that is on the brink of civil war. Finding himself in the crossfire between two warring factions, Mullbery realizes that in chaos lies opportunity — because where there’s war, there’s money to be made.

The four issue miniseries launches this April and each issue will retail for $3.99.

Boom! Studios has teased a new series written by a certain actor who’s no stranger to comic books.  According to Robot 6:

Jackson is no stranger to comic books.  He was the inspiration for Marvel’s Ultimate Nick Fury and appeared as the character in Iron Man and reportedly has a signed a nine picture deal to appear as the character in future movies based off of Marvel characters.
