BOOM! Studios today revealed the anticipated first look at Sirens of the City #6, the FINAL issue of the gritty six-issue urban fantasy from the superstar creative team of writer Joanne Starer, artist Khary Randolph, and letterer AndWorld Design, coming to comic shops January 31, 2024.

Studios has revealed a first look at Once Upon a Time at the End of the World #11, the first issue of the third and final story arc, “Not Even If You’re the Last Person on Earth,” one of the most ambitious creator-owned series to date with three unique artistic teams to take on a vision of the end of the world that’s brutal and nostalgic, whimsical and grounded… and ultimately, timeless. Artist Nick Dragotta joins writer Jason Aaron, colorist Rico Renzi, letterer AndWorld Design, and returning artists Leila Del Duca and Alexandre Tefenkgi, to bring this epic post-apocalyptic love story to an unbelievable conclusion that no comic book reader can afford to miss, available in January 3, 2024.

Bad Idea teases The Destroyer’s arrival this Christmas

Bad Idea is back and teased a new comic, The Destroyer, from Mae Catt, Alberto Ponticelli, David Baron, Lewis Larosa, and Rico Renzi. You’ll find it in Bad Idea “Destination Stores,” the limited stores carrying the publisher’s comics. It’s a return to stores for the publisher who has recently moved to crowdfunding, a break from their initial pledge of supporting stores.

Deep Cuts gets connecting covers

The upcoming miniseries Deep Cuts—co-written by Massive-Verse architect Kyle Higgins and award winning composer Joe Clark—will feature connecting covers across all six issues of the series. Image Comics has revealed the connecting cover image (artwork by Chris Brunner and colors by Rico Renzi) which highlights a span of 60 iconic years of music history explored throughout the story.

The superstar talent on deck to provide interior art for each issue include: Danilo Beyruth, Helena Masellis, Diego Greco, Ramón K Pérez, Juni Ba, and Toby Cypress with all issues colored by Igor Monti.

Bonus backmatter material for each Deep Cuts issue will also include lead sheets of original songs by Chicago jazz composers, inspired by and connected to each issue’s story.

Inspired by real events, Deep Cuts tells stories of the interconnected struggle, joy and hope in jazz as well as the (sometimes) stray connections that ultimately inspire each new generation.

Maceo is determined to prove himself the only way he knows how, and his stubbornness brings Mezzy’s ire. But the Wasteland Rangers prove too dangerous even for Mezzy, and Maceo will have to do more than a symbolic gesture if they want to make it out alive. Will love prevail… at least for a while?
