Aspen Comics ECCC 2017 Exclusives and Debut of the Aspen Bundle

Aspen Comics has revealed their full line-up of exclusive items available at this year’s Emerald City Comicon 2017 at the Aspen Comics Booth #1501. Aspen will be launching their all-new Aspen YOU-niverse Bundle package that will include several exclusive items in addition to others debuting in the bundle.

The first ever, all-new Aspen Comics YOU-niverse Bundle will include an exclusive Michael Turner’s Fathom #1 line-art variant cover by creator Michael Turner. The bundle also includes an exclusive Fathom T-Shirt, a metal travel bottle, a Fathom mini print by Michael Turner, with colors by Peter Steigerwald, a new Aspen sticker, a Fathom trading card, Aspen Bucks available for use in person at the Aspen Comics Booth #1501 or on www.AspenStore.com, and an Aspen Comics drawstring bag to complete the bundle.

The publisher will also be debuting the first issue of Michael Turner’s Soulfire featuring a connecting cover by Seattle native, Siya Oum, and the second connecting cover for All-New Fathom #2, both available at the Aspen Comics Booth #1501 and limited to 200 copies.

Aspen will also be releasing a new series of ECCC 2017 exclusive prints including Fathom and Soulfire by artists Tyler Kirkham, Talent Caldwell and Siya Oum, all three available at the Aspen Comics Booth #1501.

Creators Frank Mastromauro (Shrugged, Overtaken), Peter Steigerwald (The ZooHunters, The Dark Knight Returns: The Last Crusade), Siya Oum (Lola XOXO), Heather Finley (Executive Assistant: Iris Annual) and Tom Hutchison (Big Dog Ink) will be appearing at the Aspen Comics Booth #1501 throughout the weekend.

Aspen Comics’ Justice League #1 Michael Turner Exclusive Cover

Following the immediate sold out release of their DC Comics Rebirth: Batman #1 AspenStore.com variant cover, Aspen Comics has announced the second exclusive cover, DC’s Rebirth: Justice League #1, debuting for pre-order as a color variant and set (with B&W Artist Edition included) on June 26th, 2016. This second collaboration between Aspen Comics and DC Comics will feature a never-before-seen cover by Aspen founder Michael Turner with colors by Peter Steigerwald.

Aspen’s Batman #1 exclusive cover, released previously in early June, sold out in less than 24 hours, and the publisher strongly encourages customers to pre-order their copy of Justice League #1, featuring the iconic Trinity of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, as early as possible.

Justice League #1 is written by Bryan Hitch with art by Tony S. Daniel. Solicitation copy for the issue reads: “THE EXTINCTION MACHINE” Chapter One. The oceans rise. The earth quakes. And an ancient power rises to reclaim not just the world, but the universe itself—and not even the combined might of the Justice League can stop it. An all-new era begins with this epic by comic book legend Bryan Hitch and master storyteller Tony S. Daniel.

Aspen will also be allocating limited daily quantities of Batman #1 and Justice League #1 at Comic Con: International 2016 exclusively at the Aspen Comics Booth #2321. Aspen strongly recommends fans arrive early to ensure their copy.

Aspen Comics’ DC Rebirth Variant Covers

Aspen Comics has announced a rather unique partnership with DC Comics for a run of co-branded AspenStore.com exclusive DC Comics variant covers featuring both publishers’ signature cover dressing, beginning with DC’s Batman #1 on June 15th, and more co-branded covers to be revealed soon.

These new AspenStore.com exclusive DC Comics Rebirth covers continue the collaborative history between the two publishers, including 2004’s Superman: Godfall mini-series presented by Aspen, Michael Turner’s best-selling “Return of Supergirl” six-issue run within the pages of Superman/Batman, a run of covers on The Justice League of America and The Flash, an Eisner-nominated run of covers on DC’s critically-acclaimed Identity Crisis mini-series and many others.

The series of Aspen Comics exclusive covers begins with DC’s Batman #1 on June 15th and is only available on www.AspenStore.com. Pre-orders for this special variant will begin on AspenStore on June 1st, featuring a cover by late Aspen founder and legendary artist, Michael Turner with colors by The Dark Knight Returns: The Last Crusade superstar colorist Peter Steigerwald, limited to 3,000 copies, with a special black-and-white sketch cover edition limited to 1,500 copies.

Batman #1 is written by Tom King with art by David Finch, Matt “Batt” Banning and Jordie Bellaire

Aspen also plans to make limited quantities of DC’s Batman #1 available for purchase beginning this June at Denver Comic Con on June 17-19th and Comic Con International: San Diego on July 21-24th exclusively at the Aspen Comics Booths.
