BOOM! Studios Announces WWE: Forever #1

BOOM! Studios and WWE have announced WWE: Forever #1, an all-new, over sized, one-shot special featuring action-packed stories of the greatest WWE Legends on-sale in January 30th, 2019.

The team of Michael Kingston and Michel Mulipola return to document the rise of the Excellence of Execution, Bret Hart; Brent Schoonover recounts when Bobby “The Brain” Heenan attempts to kidnap Matilda the Bulldog, Lan Pitts and Carlos Magno reveal the showdown between Razor Ramon and Ted DiBiase at a jewelry shop; Arune Singh and Kendall Goode reveal the true origin of the partnership between Money Inc. tag team partners Irwin R. Schyster and Ted DiBiase.

WWE: Forever #1 features a main cover by Rahzzah, along with a wraparound preorder cover by Kendall Goode and a variant cover by Marco D’Alfonso.

Samoa Joe Makes His Debut in BOOM! Studios’ WWE Comics

BOOM! Studios and WWE have announced that January’s WWE #13 will feature the WWE comic book writing debut of WWE Superstar Samoa Joe in a story co-written by Michael Kingston and illustrated by Michel Mulipola. Samoa Joe and Kingston’s story will go behind the scenes of how the Superstar first joined Monday Night RAW. WWE #13 will also contain a story by writer Kevin Panetta and artist Daniel Bayliss about this year’s Festival of Friendship featuring Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens.

The announcement follows BOOM! Studios and WWE’s reveal that WWE Superstar AJ Styles will make his WWE comics writing debut in WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Special, also arriving in comic shops in January 2018.

The main cover for WWE #13 is illustrated by Dan Mora, with variant covers by Adam Riches, Brent Schoonover, and Adam X Vass.

WWE Superstar AJ Styles Makes His WWE Comics Writing Debut in WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Special

BOOM! Studios and WWE have announced the WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Special, arriving in stores January 2018 and featuring some of the biggest WWE Superstars in history! In this oversized special, WWE Superstar AJ Styles makes his WWE comics writing debut in the “phenomenal” story of his first WWE appearance. He is joined by co-writer Michael Kingston in this special celebration of the titular pop-culture phenomenon, which also includes new stories from acclaimed talent such as Ryan Ferrier, Kevin Panetta, Kendall Goode, and Daniel Bayliss.

WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Special features other untold stories behind some of the greatest Royal Rumble matches in history. From Ric Flair winning his first rumble to Shawn Michaels going the distance after teetering on the edge, this special showcases the greatest Superstars in sports entertainment history!

The main cover is illustrated by Xermánico, with a special cover by Juan Doe featuring “The Beast” Brock Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman.

WWE Royal Rumble 2018 will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA on Sunday, January 28. Along with WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series, Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s original “Big Four” pay-per-view events.
