Just When You Thought You Were Safe…The Fifth Volume of Creepshow Is Coming!

Our benevolent host is back with more spine-chilling, hair-raising tales to haunt comic book shops this September! Skybound and Image Comics announced a fifth volume of Creepshow, the hugely popular comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Evoke Entertainment Company. 

The Eisner Award-nominated horror anthology returns with more nightmare fuel and two new shuddersome stories in every issue from your favorite creators! 

Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 will feature stories by the inimitable comics talent of Tyler Boss, Francesca Ciregia, and Lorenzo De Felici. 

In the spirit of all iterations of Creepshow in pop culture, every issue of the Creepshow comic series comes packed with two stomach-churning stories from your favorite creators, designed to shock, disturb, and delight in equal measure. 

In the debut issue of the fifth volume, Tyler Boss and Francesca Ciregia give you a show you’ll never forget when tensions (and body parts) are stretched too thin between clown colleagues. *honk honk*

Then, Lorenzo De Felici will pique your curiosity when a mysterious object from space begins to wipe out humanity, can the last surviving astronaut trace its origins? 

In addition to the main cover by Kyle Hotz and Dan Brown, Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 comes with a lineup of variant covers, including open to order covers by Francesca Ciregia and Luana Vecchio. 

Creepshow Vol. 5 boasts an all-star creative roster including Stephanie Williams, Brian Witten, Tyler Crook, Yasmin Angoe, Joshua Hixson, Baldemar Rivas, Leandro Fernandez, and more. 

The Creepshow comic miniseries deal was brokered by Striker Entertainment. 

Creepshow Vol. 5 #1 (of 5) (Lunar Codes Coming Soon | SRP $3.99) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

This Con Season, Nothing’s Contained as Dread the Hall H returns this July

It starts on the show floor. Grab your badges, Dread the Hall H is back! The beloved annual spin-off of the best-selling Dread the Halls returns with 48 pages of convention horror, satire, and chaos from Eisner and Harvey Award-nominated writer Jordan Hart and Syzygy Publishing founder Chris Ryall!

It’s summer convention season again, and Dread the Hall H is back with your VIP pass to 48 pages of convention-related horror stories! Attending this show are Chris Ryall, CP Wilson III, and Tom Williams, who tell connected panel-breaking tales of the con-variant craze gone amok; along with Jordan Hart and Luana Vecchio, who reveal the true terror of A-List actors getting their on-screen characters’ powers; and Hart and Marianna Ignazzi, who introduce the world to the super-powered protector of all con-goers—the CONcluder!

This issue features interior art by Luana Vecchio, C.P. Wilson III, Marianna Ignazzi, and Tom Williams that grounds the rapid descent from spectacle to something harder to shake. One story destabilizes spectacle, and another leans into obsession, and all the while, the show floor is coming apart amid the madness!

There’s also a collectable cover lineup that includes Maria The Wolf, Luana Vecchio, Jordan Hart, plus a 1:10 sketch photo/variant by Tony Fleecs and 1:20 variant from Zach Howard, which incorporates all seven elements from Hall of Fame editor “Carmine Infantino’s 7 Things Guaranteed to Sell a Comic” (gorillas, motorcycles, dinosaurs, cities on fire, purple skies, time rifts, ‘cryin and dyin’), turning the issue into a weird, overstuffed relic you pulled off the convention floor.

But the extended issue doesn’t stop there (pun incoming): “Conland,” a Candyland-style board game illustrated by Chris Anderson, turns waiting in line into an entire experience, stretched out until it stops feeling like a joke. Not to mention, fake product one-page comics riff on ‘70s Hostess ads, just slightly off and a little too specific, but maybe aware enough to feel like they weren’t meant to be found. 

Sitting between horror anthology, satire, and shared experience, Dread the Hall H 2026 will resonate with anyone who’s stood in line, chased exclusives, or watched fandom tip into something else entirely. Fans of Ice Cream Man and The Department of Truth will find plenty to latch onto here.

That Texas Blood ridges again in June with a New Story Arc and Facsimile Edition of the Debut Issue

Get a look a Red Roots from Lorenzo de Felici

Artist and writer Lorenzo de Felici‘s highly anticipated ongoing series, Red Roots, will launch with a slew of eye-popping variant covers by such high-flyers as Ryan Ottley, Mike Mignola, Luana Vecchio, Riley Rossmo, and Jason Howard. This pulse-pounding new adventure will kick off on April 29 from Image Comics.

De Felici rose to prominence with the launch of Oblivion Song—his co-creation with Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead)—and his subsequent success as the artist on the tentpole Energon Universe title, also with Kirkman, Void Rivals. De Felici and Kirkman’s creative alchemy set the Energon Universe on a path to sales-chart-domination and Void Rivals in-and-of-itself went on to become one of the biggest launches of 2024. It is currently on its 12th reprint with no signs of slowing down in momentum. This recent breakout success makes Felici’s upcoming solo series one of the most exciting new developments in comics of the year.

Vault has announced the return of the beloved and best-selling comic book series, Barbaric, for its fifth story arc entitled, Barbaric: The Long Death. Co-created by Michael Moreci and artist Nathan Gooden, Barbaric: The Long Death, marks Gooden’s return to the series after his tremendously successful work on the smash hit series with Post Malone, Big Rig. Joining Moreci and Gooden are long-time Barbaric collaborators Fabi Marques on colors, Jim Campbell on letters, and Tim Daniel on design.
