SDCC 2019: Hellmouth, a Buffy and Angel Event Begins in October

BOOM! Studios kicks off The Road to San Diego Comic-Con with the announcement today of the first-ever Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel event series Hellmouth. The five-issue series from writers Jordie Bellaire and Jeremy Lambert and artist Eleonora Carlini brings Buffy and Angel face-to-face in the world-ending event hundreds of years in the making—the opening of the gates to the Hellmouth!

Buffy and her Scooby Gang will have to muster all their strength as they deal with an open Hellmouth that threatens the lives of everyone they love in Sunnydale. Meanwhile, Angel, the vampire cursed with a soul, arrives in town to find his redemption by doing whatever it takes to close the Hellmouth…and no human, demon or Slayer will stand in his way.

Hellmouth #1 features a main cover by fan-favorite artist Jenny Frison, along with variant cover by acclaimed illustrator and movie poster artist Kyle Lambert, as well as a variant cover by artists Kelly & Nichole Matthews that connects to Angel #5 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer #8!

Hellmouth #1 is out October 9, 2019.

Stranger Things: SIX #1 (of four) goes on sale May 29, 2019, and is available for pre-order at your local comic shop. Stranger Things Volume 1: The Other Side TPB goes on sale April 30th, 2019. Stranger Things Comes to Dark Horse

Dark Horse and Netflix have announced a strange, new partnership of a multi-year publishing line based on the hit Netflix Original series, Stranger Things! Set to debut in September 2018, the officially licensed publishing program will give fans of the beloved show an opportunity to explore the mysterious world of Hawkins, Indiana. Dark Horse will publish a line of comics and young adult graphic novels expanding the world of Hawkins and its many inhabitants.

Award-winning writer Jody Houser, penciller Stefano Martino, inker Keith Champagne, colorist Lauren Affe, and letterer Nate Piekos unite to bring the nostalgia igniting of the Netflix original series to comic shelves in the first installment of Dark Horse’s publishing program.

Stranger Things #1 (of 4-issues) follows Will Byers as he enters a dimension of decay and destruction where he must use his wits and resolve to dodge the pursuit of the Demogorgon and escape the Upside Down. Stranger Things #1 features a cover by artist Aleksi Briclot with three variant covers from Rafael Albuquerque, visual artist Kyle Lambert, and a photo-variant cover designed by Patrick Satterfield and Netflix.
