DSTLRY Announces 8 new series spinning out of The Devil’s Cut

DSTLRY has announced that eight of the 11 stories contained in The Devil’s Cut will continue as series in the fall of 2023 and throughout 2024, making The Devil’s Cut an instant collector’s item and key issue.

The eight stories from The Devil’s Cut that will be expanded into full DSTLRY series include:

DSTLRY reveals a first look at The Devil’s Cut

DSTLRY has revealed a sneak peek at its debut print and digital release, The Devil’s Cut, with 11 art previews from its 11 top-shelf stories, as well as the unveiling of all covers that are currently available to order via Diamond Comic Distributors and Lunar Distribution. Arriving in stores and online on Wednesday, August 30, The Devil’s Cut is an 88-page, premium format one-shot that hails from DSTLRY’s Founding Creators and Friends.

Today’s previews show off a first taste of art from each slice of The Devil’s Cut, with offerings ranging from cutting edge sci-fi and westerns to fast-paced action thrillers, quiet meditations on humanity, and a stunningly diverse array of horror tales.

The Devil’s Cut features a main cover by New York Times-bestselling artist Jock, an open-to-order variant cover by Francesco Francavilla, and incentive variant covers by Becky Cloonan (1:10), Tula Lotay (1:25), Joëlle Jones (1:50), and Mirka Andolfo (1:75).

Air returns in new editions

From Dark Horse and Berger Books, under the direction of legendary editor Karen Berger, the brilliant Vertigo series Air returns in new editions. Air is created by visionary G. Willow Wilson, acclaimed artist M.K. Perker, and letterer Jared K. Fletcher. Paper Girls is coming to Prime Video and we have the first official trailer for the series.

Based on the comic by Brian K. Vaughan, Cliff Chiang, Matt Wilson, Jared K. Fletcher, Dee Cunniffe, and published by Image Comics, it follows four 12-year-old newspaper delivery girls. Set in a fictional Cleveland, Ohio suburb the town is invaded by a mysterious force from the future.

It’s the day after Halloween in 1988 when four young friends accidentally stumble into an intense time war and find themselves inexplicably transported to the year 2019. When they come face-to-face with their adult selves, each girl discovers her own strengths as together they try to find a way back to the past while saving the world of the future.

The comic began in 2015 running for 30 issues and wrapping up in 2019. The television series was announced in 2019 and green-lit in 2020. It’s set to premiere later this year.
