If you haven’t heard of DUST, it’s a post-apocalyptic tale that follows Jim Dust as he aids Deborah Adams through a dystopian landscape full of cannibals, pirates, mercenaries, and mutants. While thematically a Western, DUST teeters on the edge of sci-fi and horror on more than one occasion. There is violence and nudity and cussing and violence. And violence. It is most certainly intended for those of an age to purchase cigarettes.

Rue a Western Vengeance Tale

On Wednesday, December 5, get ready for Rue from Shannon Forrey, Michael Drace Fountain, Benjamin Gilbert, Scott Irwin, Marcel Losada, James Ninness and Joe Pezzula.

Rue is a one-shot comic – no need to have read anything before or plan on anything after. As a Western revenge tale, with subtle homage to Sergio Leone, and starring various Mojave Desert dwelling animals as the cast of characters, Rue represents a labor of love for the collaborators who grew up as fans of classic Western cinema.

Rue follows a mysterious figure who is targeting and killing everyone involved with the death and destruction of a town called Rue years before. As law and outlaw alike begin dying, the remaining men responsible for the destruction of the town must put the clues together in an attempt to halt their own demise.

Rue is 40 pages for just $0.99 and  will be available on Wednesday, December 5th, at jamesninness.com.

Writer James Ninness explained:

The Undergrounds is some of the most fun I’ve had as a writer. Since we concluded Season Two I’ve had a great many people ask what is next for The Undergrounds. As before, there is no plan yet for a third season, but I am currently working with Ben and Keyleaf Comics to figure out if we can do something… For now, I’ll have to be vague and encourage everyone to pick up the second trade. Just know that nobody has forgotten about The Undergrounds.
