 Artists, Writers, and Artisans (AWA) have announced the upcoming release of The Ribbon Queen, an eight-issue series debuting on July 26, 2023. Reuniting writer Garth Ennis and artist Jacen Burrows, The Ribbon Queen takes readers on a chilling and suspenseful journey while tackling themes including crime and punishment, revenge versus justice, toxic masculinity and police corruption in present-day New York City.

Set in the wake of summer 2020’s Black Lives Matter protests, The Ribbon Queen follows NYPD detective Amy Sun. Detective Sun is working a grisly murder case when she discovers a unit within the department that is rotten to the core… and something even more terrifying that hunts them. Each time Amy narrows in on the corrupt cops around her, she discovers them literally unraveled and torn to ribbons. Detective Sun is about to come face to face with an ancient and monstrous force that has been turned loose on the world of abusive men. The Ribbon Queen is here for vengeance and she’s got ten thousand years’ worth of scores to settle.

Games Workshop has an exclusive variant cover to Warhammer 40,000: Marneus Calgar #1. The cover by Clayton Crain is exclusive to their stores and is the first time the Marvel comic is available through GW and its stores.

The comic is the untold origins of the Ultramarines Chapter Master written by Kieron Gillen and art by Jacen Burrows and Java Tartaglia.
