I Survived The California Wildfires 2018 is a nice introduction to this reality for kids

All across California, deadly wildfires rage . . .

Still reeling from the life-changing challenges that propelled him and his mother across the country, Josh finds solace in the California wilderness and in the newfound friendship with his cousin Holly.

But on a trip into the nearby forest, Josh and Holly suddenly find themselves in the middle of a frighteningly powerful firestorm, one which threatens to burn down everything in its path. Josh needs to confront the family issues burning him up inside, but first he’ll have to survive the flames roaring all around him.

There’s trouble at the Society of Superheroes!

Captain Amazing, the longtime hero of Metro City, has retired, and he’s enjoying a much-needed vacation at the World’s Biggest Ball of Yarn. But while he’s away, there’s trouble at home! A massive data breech disrupts the Society of Superheroes, and a flash drive containing sensitive information about Captain Amazing and other heroes winds up in reckless hands. Meanwhile, an unannounced visitor named Whipley arrives at the captain’s house, and his pet sidekicks — Manny, Roscoe, and Fluffy — are skeptical of the stranger’s intentions. The only sidekick excited by the visit is Shifty.

Could Whipley be Shifty’s loving, long-lost brother as he claims? Or is he framing the sidekicks for his own personal gain and vengeance?

Whatever After: The Graphic Novel – If The Shoe Fits surprised us and kept us on our toes

Abby and her little brother, Jonah, are ordinary kids…except for one little thing. They have a magic mirror in their basement that sends them into different fairy tales. This time, when the mirror slurps them up, they’re taken to the story of Cinderella. And they’re determined NOT to mess anything up!

But then Cinderella breaks her foot and her glass slipper won’t fit. How is her prince charming supposed to know she’s meant for him? And how will Cinderella get her happily ever after?

In order to save the day, Abby and Jonah will have to find Cinderella a job, stay out of jail, and make sure true love finds a way, all before the clock strikes midnight and the chance for a happily ever after is gone…forever!

Whatever After: The Graphic Novel – Fairest of All is an adorable twist on classic fairy tales

Once upon a time, Abby and her little brother, Jonah, were ordinary kids. The next minute? The mirror in their basement slurped them up and magically transported them into the fairy tale of Snow White.

Yes, really!

When Abby and Jonah stop Snow from eating the poison apple, they think they’re heroes. But wait! If Snow doesn’t die, she won’t meet her prince and get her happy ending. Oops.

Now it’s up to Abby and Jonah– with some help from Snow and the seven dwarfs–to outwit the witch and save the famous fairy tale in time.

But what if Snow’s REAL happy ending is something else entirely?
