When Stephen Strange encounters a mysterious patient at his hospital who won’t stop raving about how life is “nothing but the dream of a sleeping god,” the rest of the world is suddenly struck with insomnia.

In order to prevent chaos from unfolding as the people around him become more and more desperate for sleep, Doctor Strange must embark into the mind of the madman who seems to have heralded this disaster, taking a psychedelic trip into the Nightmare Realm.

Uncivilized Books Overhauls its Patreon to Buy Direct with its Subscription Service

Uncivilized Books has been running a subscription service to buy directly from the comic publisher through Patreon for years. For just $5 a month, you got comics delivered to your door of each release by the publisher.

But, things are being changed up expanding what people can subscribe to. Options for the subscription are now:

  • Comic Books Only ($5/month)
  • Graphic Novels Only ($15/month)
  • Graphic Novels + Comic Books ($20 / month)

The publisher also announced it would be launching an anthology called DREGS! That too will be available towards the end of the year.

  • DREGS! Only ($6/month) – starts Dec 2026
  • DREGS! + Comic Books ($10/month) – starts Dec 2026
  • Graphic Novels + DREGS! + Comic Books ($25/month) – starts Dec 2026

Uncivilized Books has also revealed it’s upcoming releases. Coming in 2026:

  • Ex Libris (2nd edition) by Matt Madden
  • The Sickness Vol 1 (2nd edition) by Lonnie Nadler & Jenna Cha
