Wondercon 2014: Harbinger #25 and Harbinger: Omegas #1 this Summer!

Spinning out of the deadly consequences of “Death of a Renegade” in next week’s Harbinger #22, Valiant has announced two major milestones coming this summer for the wildly acclaimed ongoing series Harbinger by writer Joshua Dysart!

As detailed at WonderCon 2014, the title will reach its long-planned finale with July’s Harbinger #25 – an oversized, anniversary milestone issue featuring the final chapter of Dysart’s long-running confrontation between Harbinger’s super-powered team of teenage Renegades and their omega-powered ex-mentor, telekinetic zealot Toyo Harada.

Clocking in at a massive 48 pages, Harbinger #25 will also feature the return of original series artist Khari Evans – plus all-new stories and artwork from an incredible cast of talents, including Barry Kitson, Justin Jordan, Lucy Knisley, Riley Rossmo, Ron Wimberly, and many, many more.

Then, in August – out of the ashes of Harbinger #25‘s devastating climax – find out what happens next to the most powerful players in the Harbinger universe as Joshua Dysart and heat-seeking artist Rafa Sandoval pick up of the pieces with an all-new, three-issue mini-series – Harbinger: Omegas #1 (of 3) – that closes the door on one generation of Harbinger Renegades…and prepares the foundation for another.

This is an all-new starting point that reveals what happens when the full extent of Harada’s secret superhuman empire is exposed to the public, and just the how the surviving members of the Renegades recover from a catastrophic loss that will change their lives… their team… and their destinies forever.

Rogue Trooper Enlists His Creative Team!

As announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2013, the genetically modified G.I., Rogue Trooper is returning! Expanding the relationship started with the successful Judge Dredd series, IDW and Rebellion/2000 AD will return to the frontlines of Nu-Earth and Rogue Trooper with an outstanding creative team!

After storming the world of fiction with his debut fantasy novel, Winterbirth, the first book in The Godless World Trilogy, Brian Ruckley will report for duty as the writer of the brand-new series. Joining Ruckley, and bringing his dynamic and monstrous style back to IDW, Alberto Ponticelli will be handling the art for the series. In addition to the standout creative team, Rogue Trooper will feature covers by esteemed artists Glenn Fabry and James Stokoe.

On the war-torn world of Nu-Earth, Rogue Trooper trudges across the poisoned planet in search of answers and justice. Haunted by betrayal, Rogue Trooper accepts a mission that defies the war that has ravaged the stategically important location.

Co-created by Gerry Finley-Day and renowned artist Dave Gibbons in 1981 for 2000 AD, Rogue Trooper became a showcase for some of Britain’s top artistic talent. In addition to Gibbons, Steve Dillon, Colin Wilson, Cam Kennedy, Brett Ewins, and Chris Weston have contributed art to the popular strip.

Beginning in 2014, Rogue Trooper will return to the comics page not only in this brand-new series, but additionally, IDW will begin re-producing the classic series from 2000 AD. Look for both in the coming year!

New York Comic Con: CrimeCraft Expansion — Bleedout — Partners With Top Comic Book Artists

Vogster Entertainment is partnering with Archaia Entertainment to publish BLEEDOUT: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL, which includes the story-telling and artwork of a dozen of the comic industry’s most celebrated artists.

In addition to a full length Graphic Novel, the art will be used to propel BLEEDOUT’s interactive storyline — the first major brand expansion for Vogster’s CrimeCraft, a massively multiplayer online shooter on PC.
