Poor Bettie Page has barely finished up her latest adventure and gotten back to modeling when duty calls once more! Seems there’s something funny going on in a place called Area 51, and it’s up to Bettie to investigate! There’s a catch this time, though—the United States military might be putting Bettie on the case, but they can’t avow the existence of said case—or Bettie! Instead, our marvelous model is given a crack team of assistants to help her go where no woman has gone before! Fresh off scribing Bettie Page and the Bigfoot Bandits, this spaceship is steered with a purpose by fan-favorite Ani-Mia and illustrated with only the finest stardust by Celor (Hack/Slash vs. Chaos!, Kiss: The Phantom Obsession)!

Bettie Page Uncovers Ancient Alien Secrets in The Alien Agenda

Bettie Page is back this March in a brand new adventure investigating invaders from outer space! In Bettie’s previous Dynamite tales, the queen of the pinups has taken on all kinds of surprising escapades via her only now declassified status as a special agent of the government. She’s dealt with murder mysteries, werewolves, even Cthulhu-like beings. In her latest special one-shot she even tangled with Bigfoot. But now she’s traveling to Roswell, New Mexico and around the world, meeting some classic grey aliens in Bettie Page: The Alien Agenda!

Fan-favorite writer, cosplayer, and PreviewsWorld host Ani-Mia returns for an extended take on the dark angel. She’s joined by artist Celor, colorist Fara Nurmaliza, and letterer Carlos Mangual.

Similar to those famous adventurers, Bettie will be trekking across the globe with her two new companions, investigating countless clues left behind by the aliens. Fans will get to journey along with her to the ruins of Ancient Greece, booby-trapped Egyptian tombs, and the deadly Aztec temples hidden within the rainforest. When she finally pieces it all together, will it spell the demise of humanity?

Bettie Page: The Alien Agenda is paired with a crew of top tier cover artists to capture Bettie Page in all her glory. Comics pinup artist extraordinaire Joseph Michael Linsner leads the way. He’s joined by Josh Burns, Stephane Roux, and Jimmy Broxton. Mia herself checks in on this front as well for a photo cover “cosplaying” the legend Bettie Page.

Dynamite Does Homage Covers to Rob Liefeld in September

This September Dynamite and artist Brent Peeples show respect to one of the industry’s most influential figures with a 5-piece set of variant covers homaging Rob Liefeld‘s famous covers!

Artist Brent Peeples brings maximum effort to these covers that mirror some of the most recognizable covers of all time. Brent and Rob have worked together on the smash-hit Major X and other projects together, so there is respect and admiration in these pieces.

All six of these covers grace Dynamite’s top titles. The Princess of Mars has green martians in her sights, as Dejah Thoris #8 calls back to New Mutants #87Rob’s second issue on the title. Arguably even more iconic is the 98th issue of that series, which Killing Red Sonja #5‘s cast stepping in for a merc with a mouth. Bettie Page #3 reenacts the pivotal next issue that moved toward a huge shift in Liefeld’s career and the industry as a whole. Vampirella/Red Sonja #11 places those two Women of Dynamite into the iconic image of X-Force #1. The blockbuster second and third issues of that record-breaking series are spotlighted with Red Sonja #19 and Vampirella #14.

Dynamite Celebrates Independence Day with 3 Special Variants

This summer season, Dynamite is bringing the heat with a trio of collectible variant covers celebrating July 4th and American Independence. A diverse international set of creators pay tribute to the American-born medium and characters they love.

Joined by a fun background of apple pies, Bettie Page is herself an American icon of that caliber. Her work in pinup art and as a symbol of beauty and feminity has influenced countless artists within her home nation and around the world. Italian Vincenzo Federici, interior artist for the title, pencils, inks, and colors this fun and flirty cover for the second issue of Karla Pacheco‘s upcoming yarn.

Bettie Page #2 variant

Fellow Italian Alessandro Miracolo portrays the She-Devil With a Sword celebrating the holiday in the shadow of the Washington Monument and dangerously standing atop a stack of fireworks with blade and flag in hand. Don’t try this at home, kids. Irish colorist and series regular Ellie Wright makes sure the red, white and blue pop. It can be argued that the Hyrkanian heroine’s backstory is firmly tied to America, with her creation by Robert E. Howard in stories originally serialized in pulp magazines native to the States. Then expanded by Roy Thomas, who was a student of history and followed in the footsteps of comic and pulp innovators before him. Though always with an international flair, with renowned artists such as Esteban Maroto, Lucio Parrillo, Carlos Gomez, and more.

Red Sonja #18 variant

American artist Justin Mason has Vampirella in an even more dangerous position, straddling a giant explosive with lit sparklers. Though the sweet Uncle Sam style hat makes up for that and we’ll pretend she’s following proper safety precautions. The colors by Kike J. Diaz really bring the background fireworks to life. Similar to Sonja, the Daughter of Drakulon’s creation has a bit of American flavor. James Warren’s black and white magazines were able to dodge the censorship that plagued the comics industry for years. Do you think Drakulon has an independence day?

Bettie Page Returns in New Series from Karla Pacheco, Vincenzo Federici, Rebecca Nalty, and Becca Carey

Bettie Page is back and better than ever, with a new alternate history twist making her a true Hollywood star in the making – and suspect to a murder!

Writer Karla Pacheco brings her kickass skill and sensibilities to another iconic babe, building up a new yarn for Bettie that’s part pulp noir, part pin-up, stylized yet realistic. She’s joined by Italian artist Vincenzo Federici, who’s drawn the “Dark Angel” before. Rounding out the team are colorist Rebecca Nalty and letterer Becca Carey.

In this series, Bettie has moved from New York to Hollywood sometime around 1954. She’s transitioned into more minor acting working, with theater success and bit parts in B-movies. Though she’s still challenged navigating the sticky swamp of producers, perps, pumps, and pushers who call La La Land home and want a piece of the pie – and Bettie. The question is – does Bettie Page find trouble, or does trouble find her? Signing on for a supporting role in a “tastefully sensual” fantasy film set on an idyllic tropical island, she’s wrapped up in a new environment and colorful cast of characters. Until someone is murdered and a massive storm hits!

For such an iconic woman, a crop of all-star artists are contributing covers! Junggeun Yoon leads the pack, joined by Kano and of course the legendary Joseph Michael Linsner. Riki Le Cotey marks a first with a cosplay cover. The real-life Bettie herself is featured on two photo cover variants, one nice and one naughty. Plus a slick homage to Frank Miller from Stephen Mooney.
