Preview: Iceman Unleashed! A First Look at All-New X-Men #31!

Marvel has debuted of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Art of Level 7 comic book variant covers available this August. These variants will feature artwork from the exclusive, sold-out art initiative launched to support the final six episodes of the series’ inaugural season.

Featuring an award-winning roster of artists – Mike Del Mundo, Paolo Rivera, Pascal Campion, Stephanie Hans, Emma Rios and Phantom City Creative, the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. art pieces will be a great addition for both fans of the hit ABC series and comic book fans alike.

Mile Morales Joins the All-New X-Men

On his Tumblr blog, writer Brian Michael Bendis posted the cover to All-New X-Men #32 By Sarah Pichelli. As you can see, it “welcomes” Miles Morales to the team, which opens up a whole bunch of questions.

For those that don’t know, Morales is the Spider-Man of Marvel’s “Ultimate” universe, not exactly where the All-New X-Men are located. Is he completely leaving the Ultimate universe? Are they heading to his? Is this part of time being broken? We’ll find out soon enough!

It’s Minimate Mayhem This Week

Following the X-Men: Days of Future Past and Best Of Marvel Wave 3, comes even more Minimate news! MTV showed off the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2 Minimates and Marvel Miniamtes Series 59 just showed up for pre-order. Let’s check em out!

DST will release four 2-packs of Minimates from Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Heroes and Villains

The sets include:

Battle-Damaged Spider-Man with Electro
Spider-Man with Green Goblin
Peter Parker with Gwen Stacy
Alistair Smythe with Aleksei Sytsevich

Interesting how Alistar Smythe is a big enough part of the movie to get a figure (a 1 per case at that). Is the role more than just a cameo? Maybe we’re getting set-up for Spider-Slayer in ASM3. Plus, if you’ve ever wanted a figure of a pants-less Paul Giamatti, now’s your chance. If you are THAT person, this might be the wrong site for you.

Toys R Us shoppers will see an exclusive set of variants released.

I’m kind of a sucker for translucent Minimates and that electricity effect is pretty cool. The “Flashback” Spider-Man also answers how the suit from the first film makes an unfortunate return. These sets should all be available alongside (or just after) the release of Amazing Spider-Man 2 on May 2nd.

To top it all off, DST Marvel Miniamtes Series 59 was unveiled today. It features the The All New X-Men from the Brian Michael Bendis comic series.

Sell-Outs and New Printing Roundup

Here’s this week’s announced sell-outs and new printings.

Fantagraphics Books

The publisher has announced that Hip Hop Family Tree has gone to a third printing. the second printing came out in March, and sold out quicker than the first. A comic tied into the series will be released for Free Comic Book Day this year, driving even more demand. Volume two comes out in August and a special two volume edition comes out in November.

Image Comics

Top Cow and Image have announced that Tales of Honor #1 by Matt Hawkins with art by Jung-Geun Yoon has sold out at the distributor level and gone back for a second printing. The comic is based upon the bestselling military science-fiction novels by David Weber. The second printing will hit shelves 4/16 and issue two will be on shelves 4/9.

Marvel

All-New X-Factor #3 heads to a 2nd printing. Written by Peter David with art by Carmine Digiandomenico, the comic comes with a cover by Kris Anka and Jared Fletcher and hits shelves April 23.

All-New X-Men #23 goes to a 2nd printing. Written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Stuart Immonen, the comic is on sales April 23.

Captain Marvel #1 by Kelly Sue Deconnick and art by David Lopez heads to a secon printing. It’ll be on shelves April 23.

Fantastic Four #2, written by James Robinson and art by Leonard Kirk goes to a second printing and is available April 23.

Guardians of the Galaxy #12 2nd printing comes out April 23. It’s written by Brian Michael Bendis and art by Sara Pichelli.

Writer Cullen Bunn and artist Gabriel Hernandez Walta’s Magneto #1 gets a 2nd printing with a cover by Paolo Rivera. It’ll be out April 16.

Moon Knight #1 2nd printing by writer Warren Ellis and artist Declan Shalvey comes out April 23.

Ms. Marvel #2 gets a 2nd printing and comes out April 23. It’s written by G. Willow Wilson, with art by Adiran Alphona and cover by Jamie McKelvie.
