Tom Hiddleston added to Wizard World Philadelphia

Tom Hiddleston (“Loki”) has been added to the Wizard World Philadelphia roster. He will attend on Saturday, June 4, only.

Hiddleston, who appeared in Thor: The Dark World, The Avengers and Thor, will also be featured in the lead role this month’s I Saw the Light, about the life of country-western singer Hank Williams. The London-born star has top billing in the series “The Night Manager” and had a co-starring role in last year’s hit film Crimson Peak.

The Best Of Philadelphia Wizard World 2015 Cosplay

This weekend’s 2015 Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia brought thousands of comic and pop culture enthusiasts to the Philadelphia Convention Center to partake in an event that seems to grow in size (and guest quality) every year. Some big names that were of interest to the assembled masses were former Doctor Who stars David Tenant and Billie Piper, Arrow stars Stephen Amel and Katie Cassidy, and the legendary Burt Reynolds. Neal Adams and Peter David were also in attendance, headlining the crop of comic book guests.

A large amount of toy and collectible vendors were also on hand with a wide array of action figures, comic books, and, of course, an extreme amount of Funko Pop! vendors that offered plenty of hard to find figures, variants, and convention exclusives. I left with 19 pops. I have a problem.

Vendors also offered several unique items like shoes, purses, and jewelry emblazoned with many popular characters. This wasn’t a show built to cater exclusively for people searching for back issues or the latest Hot Toys selections. Need a lightsaber? Go to the Ultrasaber booth. Leather messenger bags or corsets? There was a booth for you as well.

This year’s cosplay parade seemed to offer fewer popular characters like Batman, Robin, and the Green Lantern, but The Flash, Harley Quinn, and Deadpool were all over the place, including a group of a dozen or so coordinated Flash cosplayers who roamed the floor together, mimicking the speed of the Scarlet Speedster.

Here’s a look at some of the best cosplay from the convention.
