Tennant, Piper, Henstridge, Yount To Attend Wizard Madison

Piper TennantWizard World, Inc. continues its 2016 schedule with its second trip to the Alliant Energy Center at Wizard World Madison, April 8-10. Doctor Who stars David Tennant and Billie Piper, Brett Dalton and Elizabeth Henstridge and Baseball Hall of Famer Robin Yount headline the roster of celebrity guests scheduled to attend the pop culture extravaganza, the sixth event on Wizard World’s calendar of comic con events in 2016.

Tennant and Yount will attend on Saturday, April 9, only. Piper, Dalton and Henstridge are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Other well-known Wizard World Madison confirmed guests include Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World) and Charles Martinet (“Super Mario”). Additional celebrities will be announced in the coming weeks.

Wizard World is also the home of the most creative comics artists and writers on the planet. Wizard World Madison Attendees To Receive a Walking Dead #1 Variant Cover By Rob Liefeld

wizard world madison liefeld walking deadWizard World and Skybound have announced that noted creator Rob Liefeld will draw the third in a yearlong series of Limited Edition Exclusive Variant Covers of The Walking Dead #1 comic, to be provided free to all full-price attendees at the inaugural Wizard World Madison Comic Con, February 6-8.

The exclusive The Walking Dead #1 edition will be produced in extremely limited quantities and is available at registration to fans at the Alliant Energy Center only while supplies last. VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version of the comic.

In the early 1990s, the self-taught artist Liefeld became prominent due to his work on Marvel Comics’ The New Mutants and later X-Force. Later he published Youngblood #1 by Image Comics. His creations Deadpool, Cable, Youngblood and X-Force helped change the comic book landscape and remain staples of both Marvel and Image comics.

Stars of The Walking Dead TV series scheduled to attend Wizard World Madison Comic Con include Emily Kinney, Josh McDermitt, Michael Rooker and Scott Wilson. Other top celebrities on hand include Ian Somerhalder, William Shatner, Bruce Campbell, Brett Dalton, Kristin Bauer, WWE Divas The Bella Twins and many others.

It is the first trip to Madison for Wizard World and the third event on the 2015 Wizard World Comic Con calendar.

Others in Artist Alley include Jeff Balke, Renee Witterstaetter, Jai Nitz, Steve Lieber, Joanna Estep, and Bob Luedke.

Shatner will attend on Friday and Saturday, February 6-7; Dalton, Kinney, McDermitt, Bauer and Dushku will appear on Saturday and Sunday, February 7-8; Wendt is scheduled for all three days of the event.
