Wizard World To Offer Exclusive Bandai Power Rangers Figurines at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago

Mighty Morphin Green Ranger Wizard World ChicagoWizard World, Inc. has announced that for the first time it has partnered with Bandai America Incorporated to offer an exclusive Wizard World Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Limited Edition Glow-In-The-Dark Tokyo Vinyl Green Ranger figures, Thursday through Sunday during Wizard World Comic Con Chicago at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. With 1,500 total figures produced, only 500 will be available at Comic Con Chicago, exclusively at the Wizard World Store on the show floor, while supplies last.

The offering, a must-have for all toy collectors and Power Ranger fans, is an example of new Wizard World initiatives to offer high-end exclusive collectible figures. The Green Ranger figurines are the first Glow-in-the-Dark Tokyo Vinyl by Bandai, manufacturer and master toy licensee of some of the most popular brands in children’s toys and interactive entertainment today.

Celebrating more than 20 years of Power Rangers history, the powerful Mighty Morphin Green Ranger is now captured in a stylized, modern design as the Wizard World Power Rangers Limited Edition Glow-In-The-Dark Tokyo Vinyl Green Ranger figure. Designed by acclaimed Japanese vinyl artist Touma, this figure’s sharp angular features and oversized forearms and hands make this limited edition Ranger a statement in Tokyo pop art. This collectible figure is sixth in the series of Limited Edition Mighty Morphin Tokyo Vinyl figures and an essential piece to any Power Rangers collection.

In addition to Jason David Frank, the original Green Power Ranger, the Wizard World Comic Con Chicago celebrity lineup will include Norman Reedus, Nathan Fillion, Jeremy Renner, Stephen Amell, Burt Reynolds and dozens of others.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, cosplay, comics, television, sci-fi, toys, video gaming, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Comic Con Chicago is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor and participate in the famed Wizard World Costume Contest on Saturday night.

Wizard World continues its 2015 schedule at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago, August 20-23 with the Midwest’s largest Pop Culture Convention. Norman Reedus, Nathan Fillion, Jeremy Renner, Stephen Amell, Billie Piper, David Morrissey, Burt Reynolds, Ben McKenzie, Bruce Campbell, and WWE Superstar Undertaker , Randy Orton, Sting , Daniel Bryan and Diva Paige headline the roster of celebrity guests scheduled to attend the pop culture extravaganza.

Filion, Amell, McKenzie, Piper and Morrissey will appear on Saturday and Sunday, August 22-23; Orton and Bryan are scheduled for Thursday, August 20; Undertaker and Paige will attend on Friday, August 21; Reynolds will attend on Saturday; Reedus and Renner are set to appear on Sunday; Campbell will attend Friday through Sunday.

Other well-known Wizard World Comic Con Chicago guests include Matt Ryan, Toby Kebbell, Tobin Bell, Alan Tudyk, Brett Dalton, Caroll Spinney, Emilie De Ravin, Jodie Sweetin, Adam Baldwin, Jon Bernthal, Michael Rooker, Kristy Swanson, and Arthur Darville.

Wizard World is also the home of the most creative comics artists and writers on the planet. Artist Alley at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago will feature Manuel Garcia, Gerhard, Pere Perez, Whilce Portacio, Arthur Adams, Neal Adams, Mike Zeck, Phil Ortiz, James O’Barr, and Michael Golden.

In addition, all full-price Wizard World Comic Con Chicago attendees will receive a limited edition exclusive variant cover The Walking Dead comic, drawn by one of Wizard World’s talented artist guests. Comics will be issued at registration while supplies last and VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version.

‘Avengers’ Star Jeremy Renner To Attend Wizard World Comic Con Chicago August 23

Jeremy RennerTwo-time Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner will make his Wizard World Comic Con debut in Chicago on Sunday, August 23. The star of blockbusters The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Hurt Locker, The Bourne Legacy and others, Renner will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photo ops and conduct an interactive fan Q&A panel in Wizard World’s largest and longest-running show.

In July, Renner will reprise his role as William Brandt in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. He is currently filming Captain America: Civil War, after playing Clint Barton/Hawkeye in last month’s release of second installment of The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

His Academy Award nominations have come as Best Actor for The Hurt Locker in 2008 and Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Town two years later.

Bruce Campbell’s Groovy Fest Moved To August 22-23, Co-Locating With Wizard World Comic Con Chicago

bruce campbellWizard World and Dangerous Entertainment have announced that Wizard World Presents Bruce Campbell’s Groovy Fest will co-locate with the 2015 Wizard World Comic Con Chicago, August 22-23 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The event, formerly known as “Bruce Campbell’s Horror Fest,” is being moved to accommodate taping of Campbell’s new TV show, Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Those who had purchased admissions for the original event will receive full refunds, along with special offers. Additionally, fans with admission to Wizard World Comic Con Chicago, August 20-24, will also be able to attend the event with no extra admission fee. Single-day and VIP admissions will be available shortly.

In addition, all full-price Bruce Campbell’s Groovy Fest attendees will receive a limited edition exclusive variant cover “The Walking Dead” comic, drawn by one of Wizard World’s talented artist guests (to be announced shortly). Comics will be issued at registration while supplies last and VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version.
