Games Workshop reveals its 2026 Store Anniversary Releases including Aeldari Autarch and Vampire Lord

Each year, Games Workshop releases store exclusives to allow them to celebrate their anniversaries. The celebrations usually last around nine days and feature two exclusive miniatures and more. This year features an Aeldari Autarch and Vampire Lord. This year’s Warhammer+ subscription featured an Aeldari Spiritseer and Soulbright Necromaner.

Autarchs are some of the greatest strategic minds and physical combatants among the Aeldari, having walked the Path of the Warrior for most of their extremely long lives. They command the Asuryani warhosts in battle, and fly impressive-looking back banners whilst doing so.

The Path of Command Autarch is equipped with a powerful dragon fusion pistol and star glaive, and is perfect for leading squads of Aspect Warriors or Storm Guardians who like to get stuck into a whirling melee.

Vampires afflicted by the Soulblight curse are blessed with unnatural speed, potent sorcerous powers, and monstrous strength, all for the low, low price of an eternal hunger for blood. Korthrain, the Crimson Blade is a Vampire Lord suited in ornate armour, wielding an elegant blade that he uses to humiliate foes in duels before slicing them open to create a fresh and filling fountain of blood.

The celebration also includes incentives for purchases where you get an extra for each $50 you spend up to a total of $200. Metal dice, a rillong mat, and 44″x30″ neoprene gaming mat are up for grabs this year. There’s also pin badges for Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

Games Workshop reveals its first Live Preview of 2026 while rolling out Huron Blackheart and his Red Corsairs

Games Workshop has announced its New Year Warhammer Preview Live! 2026 will stream January 16th at 7:30pm GMT and feature news about Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, and Blood Bowl.

We know that we’ll get more info about the 500 Worlds of Ultramar for 40K but we’re also getting some reveals already for Huron Blackheart and his Red Corsairs. The Chaos Space Marine piratical force is one of the two main releases that’ll be upcoming for a 40K event, the other being new Aeldari.

So far, we’ve gotten a look at the new Huron Blackheart figure as well as Garreon the Corpsemaster, the former Apothecary of the Astral Claws.

Get a look at them below as well as the tease of the rest of Huron Blackheart’s retinue.

Games Workshop Surprises with Warhammer Quest: Darkwater

While details are slim, Games Workshop has announced a new edition of Warhammer Quest, “Darkwater.” The new edition is set within the Mortal Realms of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

Evil lurks in the dark, there’s something in the water, and the whole of Ghyran is under threat.

It’s probably time to gather together a band of heroes, renegades, and misfits, and go on a Quest…

What perils await our group of intrepid adventurers within the ruins of the Jade Abbey? We’ll find out when more details are released in the coming weeks!

The original Warhammer Quest was a dungeon crawling board game and released in 1995 as a successor to HeroQuest and Advanced HeroQuest. It spawned numerous expansions and that original release wrapped up in 1998 and has since become a grail game for many.

HeroQuest, originally a joint venture between Milton Bradley and Games Workshop, was released in 1989 and was rereleased by Avalon Hill in 2020 with a crowdfunding a campaign with numerous expansions since in 2020.

Warhammer Quest was revived with Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower in 2017 which was followed up with Warhammer Quest: Shadows Over Hammerhal in 2017, Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress in 2018, and Warhammer Quest: Cursed City in 2021.

Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: The Gloomspite Gitz are coming!

It’s a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar pre-order weekend coming soon from Games Workshop. The Gloomspite Gitz get the focus with their Battletome and more!

The new Battletome: Gloomspite Gitz collects rules and warscrolls for the Gloomspite Gitz with background, Battle Traits, Battle Formations, Heroic Traits, Artefacts of Power, plus Spell and Manifestation Lores. It also contains rules for a Gitmob-focused Spearhead, two Armies of Renown – one headed up by Droggz da Sunchompa and the other by Skragrott the Loonking, as well was Regiments of Renown, Path to Glory rules and an Anvil of Apotheosis for forging your own deeply cunnin’ git.

You can also get the Battletome: Gloomspite Gitz (Gamer’s Edition). The more portable package of the Gamer’s Edition of Battletome: Gloomspite Gitz, it features all of the same material in a smaller format. It comes with a full set of reference cards.

Droggz da Sunchompa is the dominant leader in the Gitmobs. This corpulent grot rides into battle atop Jaggedsnarl, a wizened Snarlfang who has outlived many masters over his long life. They are framed by the radiant sunmetal banner known as Da Frazzlefangz which blinds his enemies with flashes of light, leaving him able to cave heads in with the Da Metal Toof, a war-pick made from a chunk of meteor.

Snarlboss and Wolfgit Retinue are there to harry flanks with keenly aimed arrows.

Snarlboss on War-Wheela is the most ostentatious of chariots. This plastic kit can also be built as a Frazzlegit Shaman on War-wheela, a gibbering shaman who summons scorching magic from atop a totem.

Sunsteala Wheelas are built from lightweight wicker frames and features gruesome curved slicers. They’re rapid methods to get Gitmob grots around. The kit builds two that can be customised with all manner of grots and gubbins.

Snarlpack Cavalry are ready to ride into battle to tear through enemy ranks with reckless abandon. This plastic kit makes three Snarlfang Cavalry with interchangeable heads.

Gloomspite Gitz Dice Set is here to show off your allegiance. The 16 dice are colored yellow with black ink, and featuring the visage of the Bad Moon on the six face.

White Dwarf 510 is on its way, and the focus of this issue is firmly on the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game – which has just entered a brand new edition. There’s a battle report, an analysis of the new edition, and an in-depth look at the new miniatures that come with The War of the Rohirrim – Battle of Edoras boxed set.

For Warhammer 40,000 there’s the first part of a deep dive into the design of the Aeldari, accompanied by a Combat Patrol for the Harlequins, and an exciting new way to play Aspects of War, which is supported by a set of 10 new stratagem cards.

The Orruk Warclans are the focus of this month’s Age of Sigmar content with a new Flashpoint article and Army of Renown. On top of that there’s pages of great Warhammer hobby articles, and the final part of the Tatters of Hope serial by William Crowe, and a brief look at how one Black LIbrary editor made the characters from existing minis.

From Black Library is Callis & Toll by David Annandale. Life in the Cinderfall district of Hammerhal Aqsha is rough – crime is rife and death comes quickly, but even here the ritualistic murder of a powerful ganglord is enough to raise more than a few eyebrows, and soon Hanniver Toll and Armand Callis are dispatched by the Order of Azyr to investigate this strange death. Reaching the heart of this mystery will be a stiff challenge for this daring pair, and you can find out how they get on in Callis & Toll.

Games Workshop reveals this year’s Event Miniatures

It’s a new year and Games Workshop has revealed its release for the 2025 Commemorative Series miniatures for events. You can get these miniatures at events Warhammer attends and features one figure for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and another for Warhammer 40,000.

Skaven Clawlord Kettek Throatbite is armed with a pair of sharp weapons and is flying the flag of Blight City on his shoulders.

Clawlords are battlefield commanders who throw hordes of Clanrats at the enemy.

For Warhammer 40,000 comes the Genestealer Cults Primus. A commander for Genestealer Cults, they’re duelists who get into the fight.

The miniature comes with a choice of two head options featuring either a mask or showing off their hybrid mutations.

Both miniatures will be available for the first time at AdeptiCon 2025.

Games Workshop reveals its 2025 Store Anniversary Figures

Every year, Warhammer stores celebrate their anniversary with exclusive miniatures (though they may be made available again in the future) and special swag. Games Workshop has revealed what’s coming for 2025.

Biosigns Terminated is for 40K fans and features a Genestealer having just ripped apart a Terminator. It’s a callback to the classic Space Hulk and the battles within the classic game.

Biosigns Terminated

Estenna of Brighthall is a Knight-Zephyros , ready to mete out Sigmar’s wrath. Clad in sleek Thunderstrike armor the figure is armed to the teeth and ready to strike.

The Light of the Emperor and Other Stories is a hardback book anthology featuring five short stories, The Eyeless Mask by Liane Merciel, Starstruck by Denny Flowers, False Dawn by Chistopher Allen, The Light of the Emperor by Darius Hinks and Primacy by Marc Collins.

There’s also extras the more you spend. You can get an official Warhammer Dice Cup, four metal Warhammer dice, and a double-sided neoprene gaming mat with a Ghyran-themed Spearhead setup on one side, and the war-torn rubble of Warhammer 40,000 on the other – two of these mats is enough for a Combat Patrol game. There’s also a pin badge featuring either an Ultramarines Chaplain or a Hallowed Knights Liberator.
