Comic book icon and Image Comics co-founder Rob Liefeld’s Giant-Size Youngblood is set to hit stores next month and promises fans exciting first appearances of multiple new characters key to the expanding Youngblood storyline. This extra-length issue will weigh in at a whopping 72 pages total and will be published by Image Comics.

New characters won’t be the only first appearances brought to readers through this thrilling new one-shot story. The Giant-Size Youngblood issue will also showcase a bevy of variant covers by emerging new talent—industry “young bloods” Beniamino Bradi, Michael Pedro, and Reese Hannigan—handpicked as standout artists by Liefeld himself via an open call for submissions.

Giant-Size Youngblood #1 is chock full of signature moments that shape the future of the franchise! We re-introduce fan favorites The New Men, who were recently glimpsed in Youngblood #100. They will continue to play a key role in our titles from Youngblood to Badrock and beyond. But, most importantly, five all-new, never-before-seen characters emerge to aid Youngblood. These characters create the core of the new team line-up when Youngblood #101 returns this fall. Giant-Size Youngblood #1 is their official first appearance.

This season-long celebration—marking the monumental return and expansion of the franchise that launched the Image Revolution—kicked off with the instant sell-out and immediate reprint of the highly collectible Youngblood #100. The season will ramp up further with more announcements surrounding Liefeld’s presence at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
