Toshio Furukawa has been added to Guest Roster for Otakon 2022

Voice actor Toshio Furukawa will be a guest at Otakon 2022, according. He is primarily known for his roles in such popular series as “Dragon Ball” and “One Piece.”

Furukawa has played Piccolo in the “Dragon Ball” series; Portgas D. Ace in “One Piece”; Kai Shinden in “Mobile Suit Gundam” series; and Ataru Moroboshi in “Urusei Yatsura,” just to name a few of the most well known characters. He always goes the extra mile in acting, making a point to thoroughly consider why the character is played by him, and aiming to show the masculine strength, as well as the character’s gentler, sensitive side.

He also heads the acting school for Aoni production, Aoni Juku, and strives to train young talents to carry the industry into the future.

Otakon will be held from July 29-31 in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Otakon Vegas to Host Voice Actors Toshio Furukawa and Shino Kakinuma

Toshio Furukawa cardOtakon has announced the appearance of veteran voice actors Toshio Furukawa and his wife, Shino Kakinuma at Otakon Vegas 2015.

Toshio Furukawa is a highly recognizable and prolific voice actor for current anime fans and old school fans alike. His anime voice acting career began 1974, yet we still know him for contemporary roles such as Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z, Portaz D Ace in One Piece, and Kageroza Inaba in Bleach. If you are an old school fan, he is recognizable as the voice of Kai Shiden in Mobile Suit Gundam, Ataru Moroboshi in Urusei Yatsura, and Shin in Fist of the North Star.

Mr. Furukawa will be attending Otakon Vegas accompanied by Shino Kakinuma – voice actor and his wife. Shino Kakinuma was Shino Kakinuma cardfeatured in several productions including Sailor Moon as Naru Osaka and in Dragonball Z Kai as Videl.

Otakon Vegas 2015 will be held January 16-18 at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
