Skybound reveals an early look at LEGO: Ninjago: Garmadon #5

Skybound has unveiled a first look at LEGO Ninjago: Garmadon #5, the final issue of the new chapter in the worldwide phenomenon from rising star writer/artist Tri Vuong. No LEGO NINJAGO fan can afford to miss the game-changing ending to this issue.  

The fifth and final (for now) issue of the inaugural LEGO branded comic book series will arrive in stores October 19, 2022.  

This one has it all! Motorcyles! Bears! The final showdown between Garmadon and Mogra!

Skybound unveiled a first look at LEGO Ninjago: Garmadon #4, the next issue of the new chapter in the worldwide phenomenon from rising star writer/artist Tri Vuong.  

The fourth issue of the inaugural LEGO branded comic book series release from the landmark partnership between Skybound and global children’s book publisher AMEET, LEGO Ninjago: Garmadon #4 will arrive in stores September 7, 2022.  

Two Moon Village is in a whole lotta trouble, and Garmadon is nowhere to be found. It’s almost like something terrible might’ve happened to the most evil person in Ninjago… 

In addition to the main cover by Vuong and colorist Annalisa Leoni, LEGO Ninjago: Garmadon #4 variant covers include two ongoing variant cover series running through the initial five-issue release: the “Legacy of Evil” variant, with #4 cover by Skybound’s resident printmaker and artist Attack Peter and the 1:10 variant “Garmadon Evolutions” by the inimitable poster and print artist Tom Whalen.

Radiant Black and the Massive-Verse Expands with The Dead Lucky

Debut writer Melissa Flores unites with superstar artist French Carlomagno and colorist Mattia Iacono for an all-new Massive-Verse comic, The Dead Lucky. This ongoing series will launch from Image Comics this August.

In The Dead Lucky, San Francisco is changing. Tech consortium Morrow is building the city of the future with “peacekeeper” robots looming on every corner—and wherever Morrow isn’t, the Salvation gang is.

Bibiana Lopez-Yang is changing too. She came back from Afghanistan with PTSD and the ability to control electrical currents. If she can hold it together, she might be the hero San Francisco needs. But against an enemy this big, it isn’t enough to be good. She’ll have to be lucky.

The Best Archie Comic Ever Smashes its Way Into Stores this Summer

Archie Comics is pulling out all the stops this June with a high-powered one-shot comic book, The Best Archie Comic Ever #1! An anthology by some of the comics industry’s best talents, the special issue throws Archie and friends into bold new adventures across multiple action genres. 

Leading the rip-roaring release is an explosive new superhero story by writer Fred Van Lente and artist Tim Seeley starring Archie’s fan-favorite superpowered alter ego Pureheart the Powerful, who first appeared in Life With Archie #42 in 1965.

In a second tale reuniting the Savage Hearts creative team of writer Aubrey Sitterson and artist Jed Dougherty, an out-of-his-depth barbarian version of Jughead Jones wages reluctant war against a powerful wizard. And rounding out the issue is an espionage thriller starring super spy Betty Cooper and the world’s most dangerous woman, Veronica Lodge, written by Ruben Najera with art by Giorgia Sposito.

The Best Archie Comic Ever is part of a new wave of themed anthology one-shots from Archie featuring exciting stylistic interpretations of the iconic characters, published alongside titles with brand new stories drawn in the classic Archie style that’s been beloved by generations since the publisher’s debut in 1941. 

The comic releases June 15 in comic shops nationwide and features colors by Matt Herms and lettering by Jack Morelli. It boasts a cover by Tim Seeley and colorist Matt Herms with an open-to-order variant cover by Tom Whalen.

Image Comics and Skybound have unveiled a slate of variant covers for LEGO Ninjago: Garmadon #1, the launch of an official new chapter in the worldwide phenomenon from rising star writer/artist Tri Vuong.

In addition to the main cover, the slate includes a new cover by Tri Vuong and Annalisa Leoni and the launch of two new variant cover series that will continue through the LEGO Ninjago: Garmadon initial five-issue run.
