SANTA’S LI’L ELFIN GRANDDAUGHTER IS BACK!

CHRISSIE CLAUS returns for her annual Christmas visit in the pages of Adventures of Chrissie Claus #4.

This holiday special from Heroic Publishing features Santa’s li’l elfin granddaughter on a mission to rescue her friend Missy Mistletoe from the clutches of the evil Anti-Claus. It’s the thrilling conclusion to her epic confrontation with her arch-enemy Cernunnos, in a story by Wilson Hill, with artwork by Rob Jones and comic book legend Dick Giordano. This adventure of Chrissie Claus was one of Dick Giordano’s last works before his untimely passing.

This issue of the Adventures of Chrissie Claus also features a cover by Frank Brunner, and a special bonus feature by Dennis Mallonee and Tim Burgard, in which comics’ shining goddess of light, FLARE, tells the story of Christmas.

Flare Webcomic Now Online

COMICS’ GODDESS OF LIGHT SHINES IN HER OWN THRICE-WEEKLY WEBCOMIC

Just in case you haven’t yet noticed, FLARE has since mid-September been appearing in her own thrice-weekly online webcomic, updating every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at www.heroicpub.com/flareonline.

The Flare Online webcomic currenly features the full-color Sunday newspaper strips prepared for distribution by Creators Syndicate. All of those strips will be presented, for the most part in sequence, with an exception for the two strips created specifically for Christmas, in which Flare meets Santa’s li’l elfin granddaughter, Chrissie Claus.

Once the existing Creators Syndicate strips run out, new material will begin appearing in the FLARE webcomic.

The Flare webcomic already features the work of such talented artists as Mark Beachum, Tim Burgard, and Gordon Purcell. It’s well worth a visit, three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at www.heroicpub.com/flareonline.

SDCC – Leading Production Designers, Illustrators from Art Directors Guild at Comic-Con

Comic Con is right around the corner and we are all looking forward to seeing our favorite heroes, super heroes, villains, monsters, aliens, vampires, goblins, witches and all imaginable and unimaginable creatures.

Ever wonder where these characters live and who and how their fantastic environments come to be? Two panels will demonstrate exactly how that happens.

On Friday, July 22 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, some of the most creative and prolific Illustrators will share secrets of their trades. Saturday morning, July 23 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Production Designers will talk about creating the worlds that capture our imaginations.

The men and women who turn these ideas into worlds of visual reality, be it a distant world of pure imagination or an earthly hovel, are the storyboard artists and illustrators. They will discuss their craft and answer questions.
