Bill Sienkiewicz, Thomas Jane, and Glen David Gold Headline the VIP Event for the Inaugural ICON Festival in LA

The first ever ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art will be a two-day celebration of original art by some of the most popular, influential, and inspiring contemporary comic book artists working today. This high-end event will take place at the luxurious and historic hotel, The Biltmore Los Angeles, November 7th and 8th, 2026.

The inaugural ICON Festival has added a special Saturday night event for Weekend and VIP ticket holders. Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to attend an intimate conversation about art, comics, and art collecting hosted by Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter/Heat Vision with revered artist Bill Sienkiewicz, novelist, screenwriter, and avid art collector Glen David Gold, and actor, writer, and art collector Thomas Jane.

The first ever ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art will feature some of the biggest stars in comics, including Nick Dragotta, Daniel Warren Johnson, Ryan Ottley, Eric Basaldua, Jim Cheung,  Frank Cho, Ace Continuado, Sanford Greene, Megan Huang, Dave Johnson, David Mack, Dustin Nguyễn, Alex Niño, Jason Palmer, Dan Panosian, Bill Sienkiewicz, Cat Staggs, William Stout, Dean Yeagle. Unlike most comic book conventions and events, due to the limited number of tickets available, all attendees of the ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art will have a unique opportunity to spend time and converse with these legendary artists in person, as well as look at and purchase original art for their collection.

The ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art will host The Art Of Alex Ross Exhibit. First seen in its entirety at the Dunn Museum in Chicago, the exhibit makes its way to Los Angeles for the first time. The impressive exhibit features more than one hundred original works by Ross. Ross’ artwork paved the way for a wider acceptance for painted comics, with seminal stories including Marvels, Kingdom Come, Uncle Sam, Justice, Astro City and the award-winning and national bestselling Fantastic Four: Full Circle graphic novel. Abrams Comic Arts released his critically acclaimed graphic novel Marvel Dimensions in September 2026.

Ablaze to publish The Lycan from Thomas Jane, Mike Carey, and Diego Yapur

Ablaze will publish the Eisner Award-nominated horror series The Lycan, in print for the first time. The Lycan has been nominated for the 2026 Eisner Award for “Best Digital Comic.” With The Lycan, the first comic from Thomas Jane’s Production Label Renegade Entertainment, Jane has taken on a new role as creator and editor, assembling a remarkable group of talent to bring his vision to reality. The Lycan is based on a story by Jane and writer/producer David James Kelly and features a script by writer Mike Carey, art by Diego Yapur, coloring by D.C. Alonso, lettering by AndWorld Design and covers by renowned artists Tim Bradstreet and Liam Sharp.

The Lycan will be released as a series of 3 double-sized issues, starting with #1 in September 2026, #2 in October 2026, and #3 in November 2026. The series will then be collected and released in a trade paperback edition with bonus material in February 2027. The series was first released digitally from comiXology Originals.

Taking place in 1777, the story follows a hardened band of International big game hunters as they set sail to return home after a bountiful expedition in Africa. Things take an unexpected turn, however, when they’re shipwrecked near a small, British island.

Under the advice of Absalom Coffin, the men make a deal with Lord Ludgate, ruler of the island. In exchange for fresh supplies and the repair of their ship, The Calydonian, the men are assigned a task they are particularly well suited for: find the Berserking Beasts that have been eating his subjects, including a group of young Benedictine Nuns, and destroy them. But the men encounter more sinister and dangerous beasts than anyone expected.

Actor Thomas Jane’s Renegade Entertainment Brings The Lycan to comiXology Originals

Actor Thomas Jane is bringing his horror comic book series The Lycan to comiXology Originals. Jane is the co-founder, along with Courtney Lauren Penn, of Renegade Entertainment.

With The Lycan, Thomas Jane takes on the new role of editor. He’s assembled an incredible group of talent. The Lycan is based on a story by screenwriter David James Kelly and Jane, with a script by writer Mike Carey, art by artist Diego Yapur, coloring by D.C. Alonso, and lettering by AndWorld Design. The 6-issue series is the first from Renegade Entertainment and will be released monthly from Amazon’s comiXology Originals exclusive digital content line with covers by acclaimed artist Tim Bradstreet.

AfterShock Teams with Thomas Jane and Renegade Entertainment for Lycan

AfterShock Comics is teaming with Renegade Entertainment, co-founded by Courtney Lauren Penn and Thomas Jane, to introduce an all-new comic property titled Lycan, with a script by comic book legend Mike Carey and based on a story by David James Kelly, and Thomas Jane.
