The Walking Dead Day’s Collectible Blind Bag Editions Artists Revealed

Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment have announced the full list of Walking Dead Day blind bag variant artist covers as well as offer fans an enticing sneak peek at a selection of exclusive Walking Dead Day swag that will be available at participating comic shops.

This year’s Walking Dead Day, on October 13th, in celebration of the series’ 15th anniversary, will feature collectible blind bag editions of milestone issues from Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s Walking Dead Day.

Fans will enjoy a surprise when they purchase any of the Walking Dead Day Blind Bag editions. Each of the following issues will be available to purchase as a blind bag item, where customers have a chance of opening one of multiple trades dress variants (color, color virgin, black and white, and a black and white virgin) of each iconic issue. Covers will retail for $3.99 each and the final order cutoff deadline for comics retailers is Monday, July 9th.

The Walking Dead Day Will Feature Collectible Blind Bag Editions of Milestone Issues

Image and Skybound Entertainment have announced that this year’s Walking Dead Day, on October 13th, in celebration of the series’ 15th anniversary, will feature collectible blind bag editions of milestone issues from Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s The Walking Dead.

Fans will experience the thrill of surprise when they purchase any of the Walking Dead Day Blind Bag editions. Each of the following issues will be available to purchase as a blind bag item, where customers have a chance of opening one of multiple trades dress variants (color, sketch, virgin, etc) of each iconic issue. Covers will feature art by J. Scott Campbell, James Harren, Emma Ríos, Declan Shalvey, and Sana Takeda, among other exciting to-be-announced artists, and will retail for $3.99 each.

It’s The Walking Dead Day on October 13th

Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment has announced that October 13th will mark The Walking Dead Day—an exciting all-day, globally celebrated event commemorating the world’s favorite, long-running, survival comic created by Robert Kirkman.

Also revealed is the first of many collectible The Walking Dead Day items for fans to keep an eye out for—The Walking Dead #1 15th Anniversary Variant—which boasts cover artwork by current series artist, Charlie Adlard, for the first time, with colors by Dave Stewart.

The Walking Dead #1 15th Anniversary Variant features a brand new cover by Adlard showcasing walkers invading comic book shops across the globe to celebrate The Walking Dead Day.

A selection of Walking Dead Day participating local comic shops will become a part of the iconic story with their own special edition of this cover which will feature the store’s logo incorporated into the cover artwork. Fans should contact their local comic shop to inquire as to retailer participation in store exclusive version and to learn more about limited Walking Dead Day promotional swag available.

The Walking Dead #1 15th Anniversary Variant (Diamond Code JUN180298) will be available on Saturday, October 13. The final order cutoff for The Walking Dead #1 15th Anniversary Variant will be Monday, July 9th.
