MARVEL TELEVISION PULLS OUT ALL THE STOPS FOR NEW YORK COMIC-CON 2010!
As anticipation builds for The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and The Super Hero Squad Show to hit the small screens within just days of the Con, there’s no better time to reveal what Marvel has brewing for these groundbreaking animated series! This season features the incredible IRON MAN, THOR, CAPTAIN AMERICA, HULK, WOLVERINE, FALCON, and the SILVER SURFER! Just when the Infinity Sword has been rebuilt, Doctor Doom put behind bars, and Villainville in a state of destruction – a new menace emerges, putting the universe as stake… the evil space‐conqueror THANOS (played by Jim Cummings – The Princess and the Frog)!
Determined to prove his superiority over his sister, the space‐pirate NEBULA (Jane Lynch, 2010 Emmy winning actress for Glee), Thanos is determined to collect the six INFINITY STONES, which give him absolute supremacy over the universe. The Squaddies have to hurry to stop Thanos from collecting all the Stones in his INFINITY GAUNTLET before it’s too late! Luckily, the Squad has a wild card who will join their battle against Thanos – the SCARLET WITCH (Tara Strong, Teen Titans, Fairly Odd Parents)! The first season of Iron Man: Armored Adventures debuted in the United States on Nicktoons Network in April 2009 to both critical and audience acclaim, with the hour-long premiere event becoming the highest rated original series premiere in Nicktoons history. As the incredibly successful first season continues to air on broadcasters throughout the world, DQ Entertainment, Marvel Animation and Method Animation have announced they will co-produce 26 all-new episodes for a second season of the popular animated series.
August 21st sees the release of the hit animated show The Super Hero Squad Show: The Infinity Guantlet! Season 2, Volume 4 on DVD. The show is being released by Shout! Factory in collaboration with Marvel and is priced at $14.93. The show features the voives of Ty Burrell, Jane Lynch, Michael Dorn, James Marsters, Kevin Sorbo and Stan Lee. The show normally airs Saturday on The Hub TV network at 2:30 pm EST/11:30 am PST.
