Governator Gets Recalled

Bookmark and Share

The GovernatorEven with reports it was going forward, I knew there was no way in hell it was.  The Governator, the project between Stan Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Archie Comics, has been scrapped.  ICv2 reported that TMZ posted the following:

In light of recent events, A Squared Entertainment, POW, Stan Lee Comics, and Archie Comics have chosen not to go forward with The Governator project.

The breakdown of the project was due to the recent revelation that the former Governor of California and movie star had issues with keeping his little Terminator in his pants.  He’s had a secret son for around ten years with his former maid.  Keep it classy man.

Really in the end this just saved everyone from the embarrassment of what was to be a very high profile flop.

Archie Comics announced it on Twitter just a bit ago that they’ll be publishing the comic book of former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and comic legend Stan Lee‘s project, The Governator.  The news of the project was first covered by Entertainment Weekly, making their cover.  Along with the comic book is a cartoon series featuring the character.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and comic book legend Stan Lee are teaming together for a comic book and cartoon series.  From EW:

The animated TV show and comic book, being co-developed by no less a superhero authority than Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee, won’t be out until next year, but this week EW offers an exclusive early look at Arnold’s cartoon alter-ego. “The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he’ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger,” Lee says of the semi-fictional character. “We’re using all the personal elements of Arnold’s life. We’re using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We’re using his kids. We’re using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.”

Along with the Arnold Cave, the Governator will have a fleet of super vehicles at his disposal, a closet full of “Super Suits” that allow him to fly and perform other super stunts, and a team of colorful sidekicks, such as Zeke Muckerberg, the precocious 13-year-old computer whiz who acts as the Governator’s cybersecurity expert.
