Kill Whitey Donovan is Optioned by Hideout Pictures

Kill Whitey Donovan has been optioned by Hideout Pictures to be developed into a feature film. Written by Sydney Duncan with art from Natalie Barahona, the 5-issue comic miniseries was produced by 12-Gauge Comics and the editorial team of Keven Gardner and Brian Stelfreeze. The first issue debuts today in comic stores via publisher Dark Horse Comics. 

Hideout Pictures recruited Sigrid Gilmer—a co-producer, writer, and executive story editor on TNT’s Claws and writer on Netflix’s Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events—to oversee the adaptation. 

Kill Whitey Donovan revolves around two women, socialite Anna Hoyt and runaway slave Hattie Virgil, who pursue evil plantation owner Jim “Whitey” Donovan throughout the chaos of the Civil War.
