IDW Publishing comes to digital comics app Sweet Shop

IDW Publishing and Sweet Shop

IDW Publishing will join Sweet Shop ahead of the app’s upcoming launch set for later summer 2025. IDW Publishing and Sweet Shop will be bringing comics such as Beneath the Trees and officially licensed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles publisher’s works to even more potential readers in an all-new app.

IDW will join a number of North American comics publishers, including Image Comics, as among the first to offer their robust catalog of comics to fans via Sweet Shop. Featuring the entire IDW Publishing and Entertainment catalog, as well as the Top Shelf Productions’ full list of titles, fans will have unparalleled access to some of their favorite creators, artists, and stories.

Sweet Shop users will be able to read the library of comics on both Apple and Android devices and Manga and North American comics alike will be available on the app. Fans will be able to confidently browse and buy—either in-app or in limited DRM-free download format—from a variety of IDW and Top Shelf titles, available globally, with few exceptions.

The app will support vertical scrolling function—a feature that will delight webcomics readers in particular—and right-to-left and left-to-right reading versatility for relevant titles. Even more features are available for viewing on Sweet Shop’s pre-launch site. Readers can sign up for the mailing list to receive updates on launch, as well as announcements on new features and a growing list of fantastic publishers coming late summer 2025.
