Stephanie Sheh to Appear at Otakon 2017

Stephanie Sheh, the voice actress best known for voicing Sailor Moon in the current Viz Media Release of “Sailor Moon” and “Sailor Moon Crystal,” will be a guest at Otakon 2017.

Multitalented, Sheh is a voice actress, voice director, ADR writer, and casting director. She most recently voiced the role of Mitsuha Miyamizu in the theatrical release of Makoto Shinkai’s “Your Name.” Along with her work on “Sailor Moon” and “Sailor Moon Crystal,” she has voiced Hinata in “Naruto,” Orhime in “Bleach,” Eureka in “Eureka 7,” Yui in “Sword Art Online,” and Mineva in “Gundam Unicorn.”

In addition to anime, Sheh has many voice credits in video games, most notably Tharja in “Fire Emblem,” Airy in “Bravely Default,” Mikan in “Danganropa,” Kyrie in “Devil My Cry” and Rebecca Chambers in a number of “Resident Evil” games. She’s also done motion capture work for games as well as animation. In recent years, Sheh has been lucky enough to be working consistently in original animation in roles such as Katana in WB’s “DC Super Hero High,” Jinafire and Boolittle in “Monster High,” Share Bear in “Carebears: Welcome to Care-a-lot,” Vega in Disney’s “Stardarlings,” Popo in “Miles from Tomorrowland,” and various roles in Cartoon Network’s “We Bare Bears.”

In between voice jobs Sheh casts, directs, and writes. She recently cast “Hanazuki,” an adorable web series being produced by Titmouse Animation for Hasbro, that you can watch for free online. She’s the voice director for the OAV series “Gundam the Origin” as well as the gritty “Gundam Thunderbolt.”

Otakon 2017 will be held from August 11 to 13 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C.

Otakon 2014: Welcome Two More Sailor Moon Voices as Guests

Stephanie_ShehOtakon has announced that the new English voices of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, Stephanie Sheh and Robbie Daymond, will be guests at Otakon 2014. This is a return visit to Otakon for Sheh and the first time for Daymond.

Sheh is best known for her voice acting in anime. In addition to Sailor Moon, she portrays Hinatain Naruto, Orihime in Bleach, Eureka in Eureka 7, Yui in K-on!, and Mikuru in Melancholy of Harui Suzumiya, to name a few. In addition, she voices Zhu Li in Legend of Korra, Share Bear in the Hub’s Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-lot, Lisa in Warren Buffett’s The Secret Millionaire’s Club, Mrs. Rabbit in Nickelodeon’s Peter Rabbit, Jinafire in Mattel’s Monster High and Duchess Swan in Ever After High. Sheh has also voiced numerous videogames such as Rebecca Chambers in the Resident Evil franchise, Bravely Default, Natalia Kimlasca Landvaldeer in Tales of the Abyss. She is also an ADR writer and was Oscar nominated for Ernest & Celestine.

As a voice director, she produced the simultaneous release of the English language production of “Gundam Unicorn,” in which she voiced Mineva.

Robbie_DaymondDaymond is a Native-American voice artist, actor and performer who has worked for major companies such as Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers Animation, The Hub, NBC, 20th Century Fox, VIZ, SyFy and Random House Audio. He is frequently cast in voiceover work for traditional animation, commercials, film, television, audiobooks and videogames. Though a long-time fan of the genre, he is relatively new to performing anime and is excited for his first major anime role to be a character as epic as Tuxedo Mask.

Daymond currently stars as a series lead in two Nickelodeon shows, Breadwinners and Get Blake, and guest stars on shows such as Transformers: Rescue Bots and Ever After High. He has voiced characters in several feature films and has recorded commercial spots for Pepsi, Walmart, Katy Perry, Ubisoft, and many more. In addition, he can be heard in videogames such as Final Fantasy Type-0, The Lego Movie Videogame, Aion: The Tower of Eternity, Falling Skies, Grand Chase, and Fairy Fencer F.

Otakon 2014 will be held August 8-10 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD.
