Barrier #4 (Image Comics/Panel Syndicate) – The digital series is now in print and it’s even better physically in our hands. Absolutely amazing and timely as the series explores barriers in geography, culture, genders, language, and more.

Black Panther #1 (Marvel) – A new direction for Black Panther and it’s VERY different for the character and series. So many unanswered questions.

The Flash #47 (DC Comics) – “Flash War” kicks off!

Hunt for Wolverine: Mystery in Madripoor #1 (Marvel) – A mini-event in a way with numerous mini-series. They’ve shockingly been good so far.

Justice League: No Justice #3 (DC Comics) – It’s a turn off your brain popcorn event that’s a lot of fun to see the villains and heroes interacting. Some great moments in this one.

Lumberjanes #50 (BOOM! Studios) – It’s rare a comic makes it to fifty issues, even rarer for a smallish press comic to do so. Celebrate with this issue!

Skyward #2 (Image Comics) – Beyond creative and entertaining the story touches upon so many things like class struggle with a cool concept of a world where gravity is near gone.

Star Trek: The Next Generation – Through the Mirror #4 (IDW Publishing) – The Mirror Universe comes into the Prime Universe and the story has been really entertaining. If you like the Mirror Universe Trek stories, you’ll love this.

Star Wars #48 (Marvel) – Well into an arc, we’ve been seeing the battle to liberate Mon Cala which is actually been pretty good and a solid addition to the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #20 (Marvel) – Basically the Star Wars version of Indiana Jones and boy does the series work. Just lots of fun and pure entertainment.

The Winner (Retrofit/Big Planet Comics) – Karl Stevens’ amazing graphic novel that’s beyond beautiful to read and look at. An amazing small press/indie comics that’s a must get.

X-O Manowar (2017) #15 (Valiant) – Epic is the only way to describe the story that writer Matt Kindt has been weaving with a series of artists. This issue marks a new jumping on point “Barbarians” that leads directly into Valiant’s next big event Harbinger Wars 2!

Top Pick: Venom #1 (Marvel) – Cates and Stegman on Venom! Yes! I am so excited for this book. The last run of Venom had its moments, but this looks like classic scary Venom mixed with the sometimes good guy inside. Can’t wait!

Barrier #1 (Image Comics/Panel Syndicate) – The team behind Private Eye, Vaughn and Martin reunite for a new title. Hell yes. This is a reprint of their web series they released before about illegal immigration and much more. It sounds awesome.

Runaways #9 (Marvel) – This is consistently one of my favorite reads every week and I’m glad to physically pull this book. If you’re a fan of the two old comic runs of this series or coming from the Hulu series there’s something to love.

Despicable Deadpool #300 (Marvel) – What a run it has been, Duggan! This is a super-sized issue to celebrate the merc with the mouth and Duggan’s farewell issue. I expect a lot of ridiculous humor and wtf moments.

Justice League: No Justice #1 (DC Comics) – I’m excited to see what they do with this new crazy multiple team approach to Justice League and how the series moves forward. The Justice League brand needs improvement and a way to get back to its glory days, so here’s hoping this is where it starts.

Old Man Logan #39 (Marvel) – I get the sense that with Wolverine returning to the Marvel universe that Old Man Logan’s time on this world is coming to a close – especially with his healing factor on the fritz. Watching the slow decline of an alternate version of one of my favorite characters is oddly enthralling.

Warhammer 40K: Deathwatch #1 (Titan) – I have no reason to want to read this beyond the cover, but sometimes that’s all that it take to pull you into a previously unfamiliar world…

Top Pick: Nuclear Winter Vol. 1 (BOOM! Studios) – I’ve read this cute graphic novel and it’s awesome. Basically a nuclear power plant blew and things are irradiated. So, how do you live under a nuclear winter? Find out in what I’m hoping will be many more volumes to come.

Barrier #2 (Image Comics/Panel Syndicate) – Joe picked the first issue and I’m going with the second. You should get both of these!! The series is amazing and an absolute must read.

Oblivion Song #3 (Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment) – The first two issue have been fantastic so far and the detail and use of real world situations have been brilliant.

Southern Bastards #20 (Image Comics) – A gut punch of an issue that had me tense throughout as I turned each page.

Star Trek: The Next Generation: Through the Mirror #2 (IDW Publishing) – The Mirror Universe comes over to the main one in this weekly series. The first issue was great and them mystery deepens. It’s a little slow but fantastic Star Trek for those that love the Mirror Universe.

Avengers #1 (Marvel) – Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness take on Marvel’s premiere team and when Aaron’s involved that guarantees and epic story.

Coda #1 (BOOM! Studios) – We’ve read the first issue and this new fantasy series is absolutely wonderful. If you dig a fantasy setting, this is a must.

Dark Ark #6 (AfterShock Comics) – This new take on Biblical tales has been fantastic and one of the comics we look forward to each and every month.

DC Nation #0 (DC Comics) – A special price and some key stories that will launch the next phase of DC Comics.

Death or Glory #1 (Image Comics) – We’ve read the first issue and it’s a solid story of crime and driving.

Star Trek: The Next Generation: Through the Mirror #1 (IDW Publishing) – IDW has been rocking it when it comes to their Star Trek stories and the Mirror Universe. This new one has them coming into the Prime Universe and we’re excited to see where it goes.

The Walking Dead #179 (Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment) – A new community and we’re waiting for the evil to be revealed.

Xerxes: Fall of the House of Darius #2 (Dark Horse) – The first issue was just ok but we want to see where Frank Miller takes this.

You Are Deadpool #1 (Marvel) – Choose Your Own Adventure + Deadpool + RPG elements = we want to check this out.
