A Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime series in coming to Crunchyroll in 2027

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends

Crunchyroll, together with Aniplex, Sony Music, and PlayStation Productions, has announced a new anime series adapted from Sucker Punch Productions’ award-winning Ghost of Tsushima video game and its “Legends” cooperative multiplayer experience inspired by Japanese folktales and mythology.

The Ghost of Tsushima anime will be produced in collaboration with Aniplex, the studio behind globally celebrated series such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no YaibaSolo Leveling, and Sword Art Online. The adaptation will be helmed by Director Takanobu Mizuno, with Gen Urobuchi (NITRO PLUS) for Story Composition and animation by KAMIKAZE DOUGA. Together, the team will bring Ghost of Tsushima: Legends’ traditional samurai aesthetics to life with cinematic storytelling and striking visuals. Sony Music will serve as the strategic music and soundtrack partner for the series.

The series will premiere exclusively on Crunchyroll in 2027. More details, including the creative team and cast, will be revealed in the future. The announcement was made as part of Sony Group Corporation’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show) press conference in Las Vegas.

Transformers Original Television Series Score on Collector’s Edition Vinyl on March 9

Hasbro, Enjoy The Ride Records, and Sony Music/Legacy Recordings have announced the release of Hasbro Studios Presents ’80s TV Classics: Music from The Transformers on vinyl in three different color variants, available at select retailers Friday, March 9. This is the first official release of the score in any format and includes the iconic opening theme song and more than 45 minutes of unreleased music by composers Robert J. Walsh, Johnny Douglas, Anne Bryant, and Ford Kinder. The album features music from seasons 1-3 of The Transformers animated series which debuted in 1984.

Hasbro Studios Presents ’80s TV Classics: Music from The Transformers features a mix of orchestral and ‘80s inspired synth tracks which have been remastered from the original tapes by Walsh himself.  The unique collector’s edition albums feature original artwork including Japanese Catalog artwork from 1985 and will be available in three different retail exclusive vinyl colorways (each sold separately) corresponding with fan favorite characters Optimus Prime (Blue and Red Stripe With Gray Splatter), Bumblebee (Black and Yellow Stripe) and Megatron (Gray with Purple Splatter).

The Hasbro Studios Presents ’80s TV Classics: Music from The Transformers will be available for $18.99, with the Optimus Prime and Megatron variants available through Enjoy The Ride Records and the Bumblebee variant available exclusively through ThinkGeek.com.

Hasbro & Sony Announce My Little Pony Holiday Album

holidayalbum_digitalHasbro Studios and Sony Music/Legacy Recordings will release an expanded version of last year’s popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic holiday album, A Pony Kind of Christmas, on Friday, October 7th. This “re-edition,” marks the first time My Little Pony fans will be able to purchase a collection of Pony songs on CD, which will include a special reversible booklet showcasing the albums lyrics on one side and a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Christmas poster on the other. The album will also be available for digital download.

A Pony Kind of Christmas features all of the seasonal classic and original carols from the original version, as well as five brand-new tracks from “A Hearth’s Warming Tail,” the 2016 holiday episode of Discovery Family’s popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic animated television series

The re-edition of A Pony Kind of Christmas features My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’s “Mane 6” and other favorite Pony characters performing beloved holiday classics such as “Jingle Bells” and “Silent Night,” as well as the new original tracks “Hearth’s Warming Eve Is Here Once Again,” “Say Goodbye to the Holiday,” “The Seeds of the Past,” “Pinkie’s Present” and “Luna’s Future.” All music from the album is written and produced by Emmy Award nominated composer and songwriter Daniel Ingram.
