Thou Shalt Not Fall with Sideshow’s Lost Boys David 1/6 Scale Figure

A seemingly unassuming Californian town, the idyllic coastal community of Santa Carla, harbors a dark secret. Beyond the vibrant boardwalk and glittering carousel lurks a predatory gang of vampires …

Inspired by the 1987 cult classic film The Lost Boys, the David 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure masterfully captures the likeness of actor Kiefer Sutherland in his memorable role as leader of a vampiric gang. The figure comes with both a neutral portrait and a fanged vampire portrait, which feature detailed, sculpted hair styled in his signature blonde mullet. David wears a custom-tailored, movie-accurate fabric costume. His outfit is layered with an undershirt, a faux leather jacket, an overcoat with decorative medals and buttons, plus faux leather pants. 

Fans can recreate many memorable scenes from the movie with an enjoyable range of accessories such as three takeout boxes filled with noodles, maggots, and worms, plus an ornate wine bottle. The figure also comes with a total of 10 swap-out hands in various gestures including fists, ungloved claws, and a right hand with non-removable chopsticks.

To give collectors even more display options, the figure features swap-out feet including David’s spurred boots, bare clawed feet, and a third option of bare feet for hanging upside down. David can be displayed upside down on the figure stand and comes with a cave ceiling accessory to create a monstrous, gravity-defying pose.

Sideshow Con Goes Global and will NOT exhibit at San Diego Comic-Con

As the annual convention season gears up in San Diego, pop culture titan Sideshow has announced a massive change in tradition: For the first time in over two decades, Sideshow will not be exhibiting at the San Diego Comic-Con. 

The change from the familiar is an absolute surprise but the company has stated it is forging new trails to connect with fans has always been an integral part of Sideshow’s mission. This evolution forms part of Sideshow’s ongoing strategy to engage with the growing global collector community by transitioning its unforgettable showcases to the digital realm. 

As convention attendance prices and travel costs grow, accommodations become increasingly expensive and con passes become even harder to acquire, large-scale conventions have become experiences only accessible to a small percentage of the fanbase, unintentionally leaving a large proportion of global pop culture enthusiasts underserved.

Sideshow will now concentrate its efforts on creating virtual experiences for its expanding global community of pop-culture enthusiasts.

Sideshow and its partners are set to deliver their largest online experience to date through their Sideshow Con event, taking place July 18 – 21, 2023. This event promises fans and collectors five days of high-quality content, first looks, product spotlights, special promos, unique contests, giveaways, and much more.

Iron Man Mk V gets a reissue from Hot Toys

If you missed it, you can get the newly re-issued Iron Man Mk V 1/6 Scale Figure, by Hot Toys.

The Mark V, affectionately known as “The Suitcase Suit,” was a new lightweight and highly portable version of the Iron Man armor that could be donned quickly when danger struck, allowing Tony Stark to suit up in a matter of seconds — something he desperately needed when he was ambushed by Whiplash during the Monaco Grand Prix!

This finely crafted 1/6 scale figure is inspired by Robert Downey Jr.’s incredible performance as Tony Stark / Iron Man in Iron Man 2. It includes a hand-painted Tony Stark portrait with a stunning likeness to Downey Jr., as well as an interchangeable helmeted Iron Man head.

The diecast Iron Man armor features articulated flaps that allow for an extended range of motion and additional articulation when posing the figure for display. LED light-up elements on the eyes, arc reactor, and arms add an even greater sense of realism to this movie-accurate collectible.

SDCC 2022: Sideshow returns. The Con is back on!

The Con is back on! As fans celebrate the return of San Diego Comic Con, pop culture collectibles giants Sideshow have unveiled plans for a hybrid event that combines their much-loved SDCC booth experience with an online “Sideshow Con” to create weeks of geeky content! 

Over the last few years, Sideshow has pioneered a unique event format that combined live streamed content, with virtual tours of a physical art gallery, games, contests, and VR components – all with the aim of keeping the convention spirit alive during the pandemic.  

As pop culture fandom slowly returns to live-events Sideshow has announced that they will not be abandoning the online side of their con planning. Rather, they will be hosting a web-based “Sideshow Con” the week before the physical event – followed immediately by an in-person appearance at SDCC!

Sideshow Brings the Thunder with a New Thor Statue

Sideshow‘s latest statue is a magnificent Marvel Comics-inspired collectible celebrating the classic God of Thunder.
