The 2000 AD and Treasury of British Comics Annuals Return!

Blaze through the weary Winter weather with the thermonuclear power of 2000 AD – the comics juggernaut which burns ever-bright with Thrill-Power! This November The 2000 AD Annual returns once again, a classic yearly feast which this Christmas features more new stories than ever before… as Tharg The Mighty begins his preparations for the 50th Anniversary of The Galaxy’s Greatest Comic!

Running over 100 pages, The 2000 AD Annual 2027 features a standard edition cover from the award-winning Jock and a webshop-exclusive cover from legendary fan-favorite 2000 AD Droids Cliff Robinson and Dylan Teague! In addition, the Annual will feature new stories featuring some of 2000 AD’s most beloved characters and creators, including:

Speed Racer: Tales from the Road speeds on to shelves this October

From Mad Cave Studios comes the collected edition of Prairie Gods, the supernatural horror anthology written and illustrated by Shane Connery Volk with letters by Becca Carey.

For the first time, readers can experience all five eerie tales set in the haunted prairie town of Broadacres—where cursed speedways, revenants, aliens, and demons lurk just beneath the surface.

Waking up in the fiery debris of a plane crash in the middle of a blizzard can be traumatic. Especially when the last thing you remember is soaring through the sky on a clear sunny day. It’s not the way that a Broadacres test pilot from the local military base thought his day would turn out. Sudden weather changes and instrument failure may have him puzzled, but he’ll deal with those later. Right now he’s a little more concerned about the giant wolf that’s stalking the crash site.

No Man’s Land. Bill Roberts, a sprightly 124-year-old, tells Freddy Davis a story about his time in WWI. While on a night-time trench raid, a shell burst and knocked him unconscious. He awoke to find a creature injecting him with healing serum. When Germans attacked the creature, Bill fought them off and took the creature to get more of the serum for itself. Once onboard its ship, the creature revealed itself to be a human woman. Bill has never been injured or had an illness since.
