Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find out what folks think below, and what comics you should be looking out for this week.

1984 the Graphic Novel (Houghton Mifflin Company) – George Orwell’s classic book gets a graphic novel adaptation.

The Box #1 (Red 5 Comics) – A private detective is framed for kidnapping as a plot to take his magical box away begins.

Eat the Rich #1 (BOOM! Studios) – A new psychological horror series. Under the affluent perfection lies a dark, deadly rot…

Kang the Conqueror #1 (Marvel) – Discover the history of the man who will become Kang the Conqueror in this miniseries.

Killer Queens #1 (Dark Horse Comics) – Meet Max and Alex. Reformed intergalactic assassins for hire. On the run. Also super gay.

Moon Knight #2 (Marvel) – The first issue was an interesting new take on the character that has him focused on a small area and taking on things that go bump in the night. With new opposition, it’ll be interesting to see where the series goes.

Nocterra #6 (Image Comics) – The first story arc for the series wraps up in an oversized issue! It’s been a solid series so far and we’re excited to see how the arc ends.

Sam & His Talking Gun #4 (Scout Comics) – The title really says it all in this tale of revenge.

Second Chances #1 (Image Comics) – The Second Chance Hotline allows you to get a new identity, as long as you have some cash, referral, and good reason to start over.

Serial #6 (Abstract Studio) – The series keeps getting better with each issue in this horror/crime series.

Superman and the Authority #2 (DC Comics) – We loved the first issue that had Superman stepping out of his comfort zone and putting together a new team.

Warhammer 40,000: Sisters of Battle #1 (Marvel) – The second entry in Marvel’s take on Games Workshop’s popular setting is here. The series shifts the focus to a group of Sisters of Battle dealing with an uprising on a planet.

X-Men: Trial of Magneto #1 (Marvel) – The Scarlet Witch is dead… who did it?

X-O Manowar #5 (Valiant Entertainment) – A jumping-on point. X-O Manowar must battle a nanite monstrosity devouring the earth.

Basilisk #1 (BOOM! Studios) – A new horror series from Cullen Bunn, nuff said.

Batman: The Adventures Continue Season Two #1 (DC Comics) – The Court of Owls enters the Batman animated world. Yes, please!

By the Horns #2 (Scout Comics) – A revenge story about a woman going after the unicorns that killed her beloved. It’s over the top fantasy adventure and the first issue was so good.

Crush & Lobo #1 (DC Comics) – We want to see where this goes.

DC Horror Presents: The Conjuring: The Lover #1 (DC Comics) – DC gets back into the movie tie-in business and launches a new horror line at the same time!

Everfrost #1 (Black Mask Studios) – Van Louise wants to get off her world but her plans are troubled by a mounting war. We’re intrigued by this sci-fi series and excited to read the debut.

The Nice House on the Lake #1 (DC Comics/DC Black Label) – The first issue is good. It’s really good. A solid start to this series written by James Tynion IV.

Nocterra #4 (Image Comics) – The series has been a fascinating one as it plays with light and dark. The ride has been solid and we’re excited to see where it all goes considering how the last issue ended.

Out of Body #1 (AfterShock) – A man must figure out who tried to kill him. Problem is he’s in a coma.

Sam & His Talking Gun #3 (Scout Comics) – The title says it all really. The second issue shifted things and delivered an origin story and we want to see where the third takes us.

Serial #4 (Abstract Studio) – This horror series has been growing on us with each issue. We want to see where it all goes as we learn more about the murderer and the young girl tracking it down.

Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters #1 (Marvel) – The event features a lot of issues but we want to see what happened when Boba Fett attempted to deliver Han to Jabba.

Worst Dudes #1 (Dark Horse) – The series has been teased as over the top gonzo and we want to see if that’s true or not.

Sam is back. He has his talking Gun. And no matter the cost, no matter the consequence: Colt has to pay for breaking Sam’s mind and putting a bullet into the only other person Sam had left.

Sam and His Talking Gun is a John Wick like action story… just with a talking gun sidekick.

Avengers #44 (Marvel) – “Enter the Phoenix” wraps up and leads into “Heroes Reborn”!

Beasts of Burden: Occupied Territory #1 (Dark Horse) – An elder member of the occult-battling pack of Wise Dogs recalls a harrowing mission in U.S-occupied Japan after World War II. Yeah, we’re in for this.

Championess (Legendary Comics) – Based on the true story about female bare-knuckle boxers.

Batman #107 (DC Comics) – The series has really found its footing post-Future State and with the seeds being laid out for that fascist future, we want to see how it all plays out.

Crime and Punishment (Digital Manga Distribution) – We don’t know much about the publisher but the title and description caught our eyes. On the eve of the revolution a young student murders a pawnbroker but an innocent man is quickly arrested.

ENIAC #2 (Bad Idea) – The first issue about a computer gone mad was solid. We want to learn more.

Far Sector #11 (DC Comics/DC’s Young Animal) – The series is soon wrapping up and we want to see how it all comes together in this very socially relevant series.

Geiger #1 (Image Comics) – Geoff Johns and Gary Frank team again for this new series about the scavengers of a dying Earth post-nuclear war.

Green Lantern #1 (DC Comics) – We want to see what the future holds for this series as DC’s cosmic side of things attempts to get things in order.

The Impure #1 (Scout Comics) – Nero must stop his sister before she causes humanity’s downfall.

King in Black #5 (Marvel) – The event wraps up and looks like it’ll have some interesting ramifications on the Marvel Universe.

Magic #1 (BOOM! Studios) – Magic: The Gathering returns to comics!

Nocterra #2 (Image Comics) – The first issue of this world plunged in darkness was very entertaining and we want to see where it goes and how it uses the darkness to tell its story.

Nottingham #2 (Mad Cave Studios) – This new take on Robin Hood was fantastic in its debut and we’re expecting more quality.

Project Patron #1 (AfterShock) – Years ago a hero battled a beast as Earth’s protector. What the world doesn’t know is he died that day and was replaced.

The Rise #1 (Heavy Metal) – A prequel to the horror franchise Night of the Living Dead!

Sam & His Talking Gun #2 (Scout Comics) – It’s John Wick… but with a talking gun.

The Silver Coin #1 (Image Comics) – A new horror anthology with each issue telling a story in a shared supernatural world.

Suicide Squad #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue was pure action and fun plus the bodies already began to pile up. We’re excited to see what happens next as the jailbreak of Talon continues.

Tankers #1 (Bad Idea) – A time travel story about oil execs and dinosaurs.

Black Cat #1 (Marvel) – The previous volume of the series was a lot of fun so that alone has us interested. The fact that it immediately ties into King in Black has us a bit nervous. But, crossing our fingers!

Blade Runner 2029 #1 (Titan Comics) – The cult series gets a new volume.

Canuck Beyond #1 (Chapterhouse Comics) – Captain Canuck has been a bit more of a wholesome superhero series and this new series throws the Canadian hero into another dimension!

The Expanse #1 (BOOM! Studios) – The television series comes to comics. The new limited series takes place between season 4 and 5 of the Amazon series.

Post Americana #1 (Image Comics) – The elite are who have made it to survival bunkers and there’s one person standing in the way of their attempt to subjugate the survivors.

Power Rangers #2 (BOOM! Studios) – If you’re new to the property, it’s still a great time to dive in! The first issue was a lot of fun with some great art.

RAI #10 (Valiant) – One of the best monthly comics coming out right now. It’s never too late to find out why!

Red X-Mas #1 (Scout Comics) – When Mrs. Claus dies in a tragic toy accident, Santa vows to make all those little brats pay!

Sam & His Talking Gun #1 (Scout Comics) – A tale of revenge. Brother vs. brother!

Second Coming: Only Begotten Son #1 (AHOY Comics) – The first volume of the series was fantastic mixing humor with enough to make you think. We’re hoping for more in this new volume.

Sh*tshow #1 (Scout Comics) – A mysterious force destroyed the world’s heroes and when it returns, one of the remaining must get sober to stop it.

Taarna #1 (Heavy Metal) – The classic Heavy Metal property is back!

Taskmaster #2 (Marvel) – The first issue was a lot of fun mixing action and humor.

We Live #3 (AfterShock) – One of the best new series of the year continues! Amazing art, great storytelling, this is one to catch up on if you haven’t.

Wolverine: Black, White, & Blood #2 (Marvel) – An anthology series from Marvel, the first issue was fantastic and we’re expecting more of the same.
